Hello All,

I am a Permanent Resident, got married on January 22nd, 2014 in India. I wanted to bring my Wife as fast as I can. Below are the two ways I think I can apply:
A. Sponsor her (outside canada) and wait till she gets approved.
B. Apply for Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) and get her into the country for limited period (less than 6 months).

Can anyone please tell me if I can apply for both above cases A and B. I really appreciate any responses. I was told by an agency that a PR holder cannot apply for TRV for his/her spouse.

I feel they wont ask new PCC again. If you are a june applicant, you will get good news soon. Dont worry too much. Wish you a speedy IP!

I heard chances of getting TRV for spouse is very less if you are PR holder, if your spouse is working in India and you can show strong ties in India then you could try .... But your spouse cannot work when on TRV after coming to Canada.

Hello everybody, am June 14 applicant waiting so long for my hubbis status to b changed from application received.. No results yet.. But today I got my first notes of 28 pages hard to understand but on skimming it just got this much nothing started yet except medical shows in progress.. Can u suggest please what's imp in it I should look for... Thank you all.. U guys r real support in this hardship...

assuming that you had sent in your passport (if you missed your passport request then last few pages would indicate when it was requested), there is not much notes would tell you except if background security has been started or not, whether medical results received and further investigation is needed or not; when is the next review etc..last few pages will give you sort of summary of actions taken

if it is a love marriage, you can say 'we fell in love and education and age is not a barrier' if it is arranged marriage 'we liked each other the minute we saw..age and education are not an issue these days'.... something along those lines but be polite...while saying this, in your mind, you say 'you stupid idiot, still in 15th century mindset?'

applications are not processed sequentially like 'first come, first served'..so you would see some June applications are being processed first before April/May..besides, it depends on visa officers too..some work hard, some the minute they see it is requires more effort, set it aside....

NO OF FILES WITH VISA ISSUED (DM) - 190 (including 3 june applicant)
NO OF FILES STILL WAITING IN LINE - 27
NO OF APPLICATIONS LINED UP FOR INTERVIEW - 21

Hey Myrah.. There are now 2 june applicants in IP -- RMGILL (June 10) and brarJune1 (June10).. they got IP last week

And one this week -- kbanatwala (June 3)
