Thanq YogMys! The part that was very upsetting was that CIC originally received the app. On Jan 2 , 2013 .At that time the SA part was 55 days. And , after hearing now response for 56 days I called CIC . They said they are confused because they had no record of the app. On 57th I received ENTIRE app back in the mail !!! :( , I stupidly forgot to include the " travel history " doc. So so very sad, 57 days of waiting , time of our life we will never get back ! I know it's my fault but REALLY? An entire 3 inch package with everything but one doc , left out ? I coulda couriered it the next day ... Anyhow yeah !! PPR =D

HI Jagsan,

Welcome to the forum..
From the time the file is transfered to ND, they take atleash a month before they send PPR. There is no for you to worry at this point

Initially, I thought that it matter if you have travel history or not.. But looks like it doesn't really matter soo much.. I could be wrong..

My husband did not have travel history as well.. We got his PPR after month..

Hi bhupi20,

Can you please share your information that what exactly you did in this case ?

Hi James.007

First of all congratulations on PPR....hope that you will get the visa soon..

In my case, I did not do anything special. I sent two passports(both cancelled & new one) along with the PPR letter and a letter explaining what's included in the package.

I was also very confused and am still not sure how NDVO will take it, but in the PPR letter they clearly asked to send both new and old passport.

In my case the cancelled passport had no significance since it has no travel history and more importantly, its NOT A VALID PASSPORT anymore.

I would suggest that send both passports...IF NDVO decides to create an issue, they will create it no matter what...But chances are highly unlikely as even if you made a mistake by answering '1' to the following question:-

How many passports have you had, including the one you currently hold?

you are now doing the right thing and sending both passports.

Good luck

Hi, I have applied for the Spouse Sponsorship visa in Feb 2013 I also received a PP request on 20th march and I have sent the PP on the same day via secured mail to the New Delhi office received on 21ST March 2013. I just want to know how many more days would it take to get my PP. And is that a guarantee that I will get my visa? I m really worried as I havent heard anything frm them on my ecas it shows medical documents received .

Thanks a lot bhupi20 and aman_sidhu for sharing your experience.

I really appreciate....:)

Hi All,

I am new to this group and have a quick query.

Around 25 days back, my spouse received an email with the following. However, there was no attachment to it.

Dear Applicant,

Please find attached correspondence which refers to your application for permanent residence.

Best regards,

Immigration Section / Section de l'immigration
High Commission of Canada / Haut-Commissariat du Canada
7/8 Shantipath, Chanakyapuri
New Delhi
India / Inde

After realizing that there seems to be some delays, I started investigating. Some people in the forum had the same problem. I have mailed the consulate and they have sent an automated msg saying it may take 28days to reply. For people who faced the same problem, I need some guidance.

1) Do they really take so much time to reply? What should be my next step. Please recommend.
2) If this was a passport request, I believe they have 30days for submission, but I believe by the time they will reply, I would have crossed that time. What shall I do? Is it a matter of concern?

Please suggest.

Thanks
