But where does it mention applicant's new UCI?
the SA i got has only the existing UCI of the sponsor and not for the applicant.

I just validated the attachement with SA.

They don't send any updates about receiving the passport. You only get the confirmation from the courier or the tracking number that the PP has been delivered.

@papu - its a relative thing. exactly a year back CIC-M used to take 3-4 months to do SA and ND was taking less than 2 months for processing and DM. I guess the wait times keep fluctuating .. the visa offices don't necessarily have very strong service levels ..

For example last year the 80% Processing time for NDVO was 6 months, now its 10 - very convenient for them to change these times .. based on workload, immigration policies .. yada yada.

Does anyone know the time from when the passport is requested by the VO till the time the visa is received. I assume its different for everyone; however, when I was looking at the previous months excel sheets I see that the passport is requested from the applicant like 2 or 3 months before the visa is issued. Does that mean the passport is with the New Delhi office for that long and what if people wanna travel during those months.. How does it work? Can someone help??

@emauol : it varies from 3-10+ months. The most recent cases have seen 3-4 months for Visa issuance after getting a call for Passport. See the New Delhi 2012 forum for more details on individual cases. The NDVO usually requests for a passport once they start processing your app, but you do get restrcited to travel outside the country once you send in your PP.

Oh I see... I was hoping to apply for a tourist Visa since my 1st stage of Sponsorship is approved... It was approved on the 25th of March.. Im not sure what the chances are.. so even by chance if I get my TRV it seems like the VO will request the PP soon and I will have to return to my home country.. Damn..Thats crazy

Hi guys i applied for my wife in march 2013 at cpc mississauga and her file has been approved and they have transferred file to new delhi. Now this where i need help of you guys can anyone tell me that after the file transfer to new delhi office do i need to send any further documents to them or they will send letter to my wife on her mailing address asking for more documents or they will ask for their passport. I am not sure of the process after file has been transferred to NDVO if you guys can help what I have to do next i would really appreciate your help.
