Hi sir I have a big question I recive a Socal assistance 3 years ago so is still can effect my file

I need ur guidance. I applied for PR in June 2010, havent got MR yet. I got married in Jan. My wife is Cad PR.

1.Now to update my status to CIC what documents would i need.

2.Will i have to with draw my old file to apply for spouse visa.I havent applied for family class spouse visa yet.

3. My wife is not going to accompany me to canada as she is already their, so will i have to pay application fee for her also when I will update my status with CIC.

Plz guide me I will have to wait for my previous file to finalize or to apply for the family class visa also.

1. U need not to withdraw ur previous application. U can have two files in progress.
2. U also don't need to pay the fees for her as she has already landed in Canada.
3. U need to send ur marriage certificate only to update in ur previous file.

If you had received social assistance in the past, and currently not receiving, it will not affect your case. However there will be a chance for bit delay in process.

Now what is the next step from for them?

and now how much days it took for PPR and my passport back with visa?

When they request for the passport .....
How will they communicate....
send a email to both sponsor and the Principle appicant ...
or just to the sponsor ..or how...

This thing is breaking my head...I am sure you guys who got it may explain this

They would e-mail the sponsor,,
They could even send u a letter at the given adress or it could be through phone as well...

There have been examples of all of these methods...

Here is my timeline-

Medical Done Sept 2012
Application Sent to CIC Sept 2012
Application Received at CIC sept 2012
Date of AOR Received 25th nov 2012
Date of Sponsorship Approved 25th nov 2012
Date of File Transferred to New Delhi ? 25th nov 2012
Passport requested- 1st dec 2012
passport submitted- 5th dec 2012

After that we have not heard anything. I did contacted my MP and new delhi embassy replied that she will be called for interview but they don't know when as processing time has not yet completed.I am still waiting for her interview call from new delhi visa office.
