hey guys ;D I got a call from the lawyers and they said I was approved for sponsorship but online nothing has been changed ??? does anyone know if it takes time to post and that's why there's a delay?? and what comes next, passport request? interview? and what is the usual time period for the next steps?

you applied on nov 24 so approval means that you passed the first step that means you can sponsor your wife...it means it will then go to NDVO to do the final visa stamping which is what is taking like 12 months as on the website

Myrah, I sent my 6th email to NDVO about not getting passport request and I got 6th confirmation from NDVO..exciting...way ahead of you in collecting 'confirmation emails'...yeaaayy

thanks for the info ;D I applied nov 4th and they did pass the 28 days that is stated on their website for step 1, I was getting worried but thank god I passed the first stage half the weight is lifted off me! I'll sleep better knowing this info I guess I don't need to smoke weed like some of us here LOL

your lawyer will get all the correspondences by email from NDVO if that's the way your lawyer had set it up (normally that's what they do to prevent confusion). If your lawyer did not receive PPR in two months, call MP; order notes and if everything seems to be in order as far as 'nothing started' then start worrying like me (no ppr yet and all three notes indicate nothing started). Ask your lawyer to check spam folders too..sometimes emails from NDVO end up there...
