As you're in Canada I would suggest you to call cic office in Canada. I had a lot of questions while preparing our application and they have been always really helpful answering my questions. The phone number is 1-888-242-2100 and follow instructions leading you to speak to someone.

There is no such requirement that you have to a job ..u could b jobless and still get a visa ..just need to prove that relationship is genuine

when I applied for my wife the first thing my lawyer asked me, do you have a job? I need job letter. I think that's the most important thing to sponsor family member also if someone doesn't has job, he or she is probably on welfare and you cant sponsor anyone if you are on welfare.

Yes u don't have to be on welfare but that doesn't mean you have to have a job ...I have seen people in school were able to sponsor their wife's ..I mean people who are PR but are in school and also if you ever order notes it doesn't even state anywhere about sponsor's occupation .I know u have to fill it in a form but they don't even mention that in notes but if you notice they do mention sponsored person's occupation but again it doesn't matter. There are no Limited income cutt off requirement for spouse visa however to check if sponsor is on welfare or disability they ask you to send Option C print out. I am going by cic website not by any lawyer

Hi!

I am new to this forum and expecting lot of support from all of you. I would like to explain my case before you guys start giving your opinions.

1) landed to Canada first time on June 2011 and applied for sin and pr card and left Canada within 2 weeks.

2) I was working in Dubai upto May 2013 and landed to Canada on 5 June 2013. For 10 days I was working in Dubai.

3) got married in nov 2012 and took my wife to Dubai after marriage on Dubai family visa.

4) right now I am in Canada with a PR card and jobless but i do have sufficient funds for myself and for my wife.

5) I had a arranged marriage

6) I have sufficient documents to prove my marriage like wedding picture, honeymoon tickets, emails,chats,stamps on passport regarding her visit to Dubai as a sponsored person.

Now my questions are :

a) do I need to get employed before I submit sponsorship application

Ans : - I have answered this question in my previous post.. but anyws answer is No you don't need to be

b) will CIC will ask me or expect me to pay tax on the money which I earned in Dubai.
No they will not

c) do I need to hold a joint account with my wife. I have made her a nominee is it enough
Not necessarily ... nominee is enough. But she may have her own account attach her bank statements just incase

d) whose medical is required for submission of form and it is before submission of application or after
Sponsored person's so your wife's and it has to be done before submission and they will give you a copy attach that with your other documents

e) I need to collect forms from my wife and submit it in Ontario along with sponsorship form
you can fill and print forms from website and then u send the entire package to Missisauga, ON

f) can I get a list or forms which I need to fill.
check the website it pretty straight forward

he can get the birth certificate from Civil hospital. 10th grade certificate will not be work out..

When you read region specific document (in our case New Delhi) they have mentioned that class x certificate is ok to be proof of Birth...

Birth and/or baptism certificate
Note:If the birth is registered late, include the original baptism certificate and other original documents establishing identity such as:
•old school records (Fifth class, Middle standard and Matriculation certificate), and

May b ! u r rite. But when my sister applied without DOB certificate and embassy refused to accept her file.. even though she submit her all mark sheet and certificate from grade 5th to M.S.C.. To avoid any type of risk better to get DOB certificate.

Ya.. you are right. We should let any thing that delayed our process... Chef medical officer's office do issue birth certificate in my place...
