hey orion, thanks a lot .. since there was a strike i decided to go to india to see my wife as our first year anniversary was approaching and i am leaving for India today, and she got her passport with visa today lol .. so we are flying back together on Nov 30th

and as far as your question goes .. yes it went directly from In Process to DM .. she had a interview call back in August.

Wow, must be a good feeling after waiting long. Congratss! Have a happy married life ahead! Be safe! happy advance first anniversary marriage!

Jan/Feb/March applicants have to be done in next 2 months ! fk!

how long does it take to clear the criminality and security check ? thats the only thing delaying my file!

Oh so you had an interview as well.....so how many months did it take for you?

Also make sure you dont take a route through USA or double hop in europe for the return ticket as your wife would be a indian passport holder and you would need a transit visa

Zorma's, SN0206 & Buds seems like all three of us have a similar time line and simliar E Cas status. Please share few things from your notes. All other Jan,Feb March & April who's E Cas has not turned in to IP yet please reply to this post

1) Did you get Interview waiver yet in the notes section of GCMS?
2) Location of the file
3) Medical expiration date as per Note?
4) File has been assigned to which Visa Officer ?
5) When was the last time they touched your file? (According to Notes aswell)

My Notes are as follows

1) Did you get Interview waiver yet in the notes section of GCMS? - Yes
2) Location of the file - FCU -DIS
3) Medical expiration date as per Note? March 2014
4) File has been assigned to which Visa Officer ? RC 9570
5) When was the last time they touched your file? (According to Notes aswell) - September 2013 - they updated INterview Waiver

Hi anupam, yes my wife had an interview call from Delhi office in August, they asked her questions like how long has she known me? how did we meet first? how long have I been staying in Canada? asked her about her previous marriage .. what led to divorce? how long did the marriage last? but at that time ecas still showed Application Received, then on October 10th she got In process, then DM on Nov 1st ..

yeah we are taking direct flight from New Delhi to Toronto on our way back..

Ill let you know when i get it. No worries..im sure you will get good newss before medical expires...my medical expires already this week. I dont know what to do with it if NDVO will ask for re medical soon or not.

Hey Hey Hey...quick reply needed from experienced. I got this email from NDVO just now. I could not understand it because my english is not good. Some background info- i have paid two-way courier service to DTDC (just like VFS or Blue Dart). I got email from DELHIIMMIGRATION @ international.gc.ca....the body looks like this...



As of February 1, 2013, the Canadian Cooperation Office in Kathmandu can no longer forward immigration documents on behalf of the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi. As a result, we are unable to return your passport to you via the Canadian Cooperation Office (Kathmandu).

Effective immediately, visa applicants in Nepal are requested to either:

contact the VFS Visa Application Centre in Kathmandu (http://www.vfs-canada.co.in) to arrange for return of your passport; or

provide a mailing address in India to which we can send your passport and documents by registered mail.

We request that you comply with this request within the next 30 days so that we can return your passport.
