Generally they do not give any information about in due time , u can call or mail only in condition of address change ... U have to order gcms note , that will tell u the status and everything about your file

maybe I am missing something in your response...MPs don't need to be informed about address change. Perhaps you thought he was asking about informing NDV office

RECEIVED GOOD NEWS THIS MORNING FROM MY HUBBY!! ;D

He got the shinny visa with pp yesterday morning (indian time) SO happy! my wait is over!!

Timeline:

Application reached missisauga: March 25,2013
File transfer to new delhi: April 18, 2013
AOR: April 19,2013
PPR: April 29,2013
In Process: September 20, 2013
Decision made: October 2, 2013
Recieved pp with visa : October 4,2013

total wait of 6 months and 9 days!! woohoo all worth it. Good luck everyone and hope u all get reunited with ur spouse soon!

So you are almost at the end, Congratulations. You should be finalized within a month and half {in my experience}, but i wish it is early.

Keep on tracking at ECAS and VFS both. sometimes there is update in VFS as passport received at delhi earlier than the ECAS as decision made.

Where do you live in Canada ?

wow it takes another month or so?? I am worried even after requesting to arrange for return of passport my ecas still shows in process anyways nothing I can do but to wait. I am in Toronto how about you so did your wife booked the flight already??

i applied on vfs for the return of my passport on sept 23, my ecas went to DM on the same day i.e.on the 23rd itself..
i asked to VFS people that how long would it take to get my PP back, then they replied tha it would take minimum 15 days from the day u apply for the return of ur PP...
Its been more than 10 days being my DM, but still waiting for my Passport

that's what they told my wife 15 working days after you applied but in your ecas its already DM mine says in process......hopefully you will get PP back in couple of days now...I am not sure about mine.....lets hope for the best do let us know once you receive the pp....good luck

I think before your visa expires. (Its a 1 time immigration visa). Some say before medical expires , but I am not sure on that part

Yes the expiry is also on there by the issue date.

I just asked my MP yesterday,,,I might get some news today or next week...I think its Ok to go only one way...

Today My husband met to MP.
They said we will say status of your file after 10 days.

it says-Eligibility-Recommend Passed and Status update-2013-sep-4th, due date-2014-April-2009
Medical,security,criminality-Not Started and Status update-2013,march-25 here is no due date for all of them

and in 2nd last page it says..
Notes 1-File,supporting documents and photos reviewed.PA and Sponsorship are compatible.the marriage was performed in accordance cultural norms.The relationship appears to be genuine. Interview waiver recommended.file sent to office for review.
Notes 2-passport recvd

Notes 3- CSCD not entered as medical do not scan into GCMS. UMI U********* (what is that)

Exctly same note before 3 days.
Only 3rd point is minor different.
1st and 2nd same to same...
In mine 3rd point is "CSCD not entered as missing the original Imm1017; only the emedical notification was submitted".
Today i meet my local medical hospital dr, and they said its not any problem.
So dont worry dear...
