Hearty congratulations................to everyone who got their status updated from In Process to DM and who got their PP back........

There is no update for me I am IN PROCESS since Oct. 08th....and it's getting very frustrating and tensed day by day....as even the IN PROCESSES are not safe either........OMG......very sad to hear about Sagar's case.

Keep updating guys.....TC........

Feeling very bad about Sagar's case.. How long does the appeal process take? If that fails what is the next step? I guess, if the bond is strong between the couple, they will get together sooner or later anyways, or find some alternative like moving to US etc... It is just that the waiting, working on all that might be wearing... And stronger people work on turning failures to successes instead of feeling too bad for too long...

Friends,

Good to see everyone posting their updates. Can someone answer my questions please as I am relatively new.

Husband (me) : Sponsor living in Canada.
Wife and infant son to be sponsored living in India.

Timeline:
10 July 2012 : Wife and son medicals done in India.
04 September 2012 : CIC Mississauga received my application package (medical reports included).
CIC application status : Showed information unavailable.
15 September 2012 : Acknowledgement email I rcvd from CIC. (This doc. had both my wife and son's name)
16 September 2012 : I rcvd email from CIC Mississauga that I have been approved as sponsor and file has already been transferred to New Delhi.

Now when I check the CIC website for application status, it shows me:

1) Sponsored person : Shows my wife's name only (not my infant son).
2) Sponsorship Application Status : It says "Decision Made"
3) Permanent Residence Application Status : It says "Application Received"

When I click on "Decision Made", it says : "We received your application to sponsor null XXXXX on September 4, 2012. We sent you a letter on October 16, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."

When I click on "Application Received", it says : "We received null XXXXX's application for permanent residence on September 4, 2012. Medical results have been received".

My concerns:
1) Is it normal to not show my son's name as he is a dependent child (infant of less than one year). Only my wife's name appears.
2) I have read people's post about their status showing "In Process". When will I reach the "In Process" stage as I have not seen it so far or have I already crossed it and moved straight to decision made?
3) What can I expect the next steps to be? Since the file has moved to New Delhi, will they contact me or will they contact my wife? By email or post?
4) The word "null" just before my wife's name...what does that mean? Is there anything to it?

Does everything look normal in my case so far?

Thanks in advance for the support and congrats/good luck to everyone currently on different stages.

Regards.

Hey friend !!

I would try my best to answer your questions:

1. I am not sure about this but I think this should show ur son's name too. You can call CIC customer care for it.

2. Congrats for stage I approval and don't worry about "in process" at first stage. Its quite normal.

3. Next step would be Passport Request, which your wife would receive via email or snail mail. Generally it comes after 3 weeks, file is sent to delhi office.

4. And about " Null" means you didn't mention surname for your wife in the application. And it is taking null as first name and your wife's name as surname.

That's all about it. Hope it helped. And you can take advice from Other members too

Why no one is responding to my simple question.
Is it too silly to ask this?
Need a little confirmation on the Visa office address?
