Hey zenn,zenn said:Hey! Congrats!
I was just wondering if you could guide me please:
Did your status online go to DM from "in process" before you got your passport and if so how long did it take?
Had you used a lawyer to file your application? Did you contact your MP or ask for GCMS notes?
Could you tell me which post your passport came by?
Thanks so much for your help
Thanks!ice1 said:Hey zenn,
Ecas went in process on feb 15 and decision made came on the 25th and my husbands passport was delivered to his house this morning. I don't know which post it came in since me and my husband are traveling in another city...yet to be picked up. I did not use a lawyer to fill out our application, everything was done by me and my husband, but just to inform you my evidence was one thick pile as I had 3 and half years of our phone convo...I did not contact my MP or ask for GCMS notes...as I was told by friends not to do these things unless my processing time exceeded what was listed on cic website...because it would delay my case.
Feel free to ask anything else...
Hey don't worry,zenn said:Thanks!
I'm basically worried because I have heard nothing for over 3 weeks now... I guess I just have to be patient and hope for the best
Good luck
Yup... I guess.. I just hope i dont have a nut case for a VOice1 said:Hey don't worry,
I think it depends on which officer has your folder, ppl tend to work in different speed..lol
Anyhow how did you do your application? was it through a lawyer or yourself?
I have experienced something similar to this...to receive the red seal on my marriage certificate they asked the same thing from my husband. All I had to do was write a letter stating my info and that I"m sponsoring my husband (add his info) and therefore I needed the red seal for the purpose of sponsoring him.vstar said:My wife is trying to get her Police Clearance Certificate from Surat. She went to the police station and they mentioned that she needed to provide a sponsorship letter before they would create the certificate.
Has anyone experienced this? If so, what do I have to give?
I had the same problem with the name on the passport. Entire name falls under given name. But whenever I applied for visas, US Student, Schengen, US tourist, Canada, the respective country used the correct format despite the idiotic passport.zenn said:Yup... I guess.. Yes, I went through a lawyer... for two reasons.. 1) my surname section on my passport is blank- my entire name falls under my given names... a mistake i should have corrected years ago but I went overseas to Sydney to study shortly after realising the error and did not have time to fix it (and was a bit lazy about it thereafter). As a result I had no clue what to do- the form requires both sections to be filled otherwise it cannot get 'validated'.
2) I had applied for a visit visa for Canada before leaving Sydney to be married-my cousin stays in Toronto so it was a piece of cake..
So I wasn't sure how to go about the app when I was applying for an outland PR while I was still in Canada
(I didn't know this forum existed and so I had no clue where else to get answers from)
The lawyer keeps warning me that the website said 9 months (when I applied) and so it will take that long... 9 months just doesn't sound right and the thought if it rips my heart! I really miss my hubby.. He had come to visit for 2 weeks this Feb and I was hoping I would be able to go back wiz him... but ofcourse That ship sailed...
I have actually been wondering if using a lawyer takes longer to process your application.. Because unless I'm wrong a lot of the people who applied at NDVO in April/May/June who have not got their PPs back yet went through lawyers...
or then again its might be a crazy VO who went on holiday or some sh*t like that
Congrats Oct12, it would have been a big relief now after missing that call. All the best to get the visa fast!Oct12 said:Hello guys,
We got PPR today by mail (post)....
It's issued on the same date my wife got call from NDVO (26 Feb)
My file went in process on 23 Feb.
Please update the sheet muksi... Thanks for your kind volunteerness as it is very important for others to track their own files....
Oct applicants - Cross your fingers guys.... hamari baari he ab....
Its not a necessity to issue visa and COPR before medicals expiry. There are couple of members in our forum for whom they have requested re-medical. For some cases the VO'c can apply for medical extension and if its approved there is no need for re medical. If they want to issue visa and if there is only less time left for medical expiry i have heard cases where they contact you to check whether you can land before medical expiry and if you say yes then they will issue visa. So there are lots of possibilities and it will depend on individual case and the VO.maplegal86 said:Anyone know whether they definitely have to issue your visa and COPR before medicals expiry? I'm at a loss. Don't know what to expect.
Do you know if you have to redo medicals? What if they don't give you enough time to land?
