Anyone from Gujarat get their PCC done? If so, how long did it take and is there anything in particular they require to see from the person who is the Sponsor?

My wife is trying to get her Police Clearance Certificate from Surat. She went to the police station and they mentioned that she needed to provide a sponsorship letter before they would create the certificate. Has anyone experienced this? If so, what do I have to give?

Quick question...I got my marriage certificate earlier this week when I was still out in India and on it my name is spelled with my father's first name in between my first and last name. On my passport and all documents I just have my first name and last name. Do I need to change my marriage...
