Yup... I guess.. I just hope i dont have a nut case for a VO
Yes, I went through a lawyer... for two reasons.. 1) my surname section on my passport is blank- my entire name falls under my given names... a mistake i should have corrected years ago but I went overseas to Sydney to study shortly after realising the error and did not have time to fix it (and was a bit lazy about it thereafter). As a result I had no clue what to do- the form requires both sections to be filled otherwise it cannot get 'validated'.
2) I had applied for a visit visa for Canada before leaving Sydney to be married-my cousin stays in Toronto so it was a piece of cake..
So I wasn't sure how to go about the app when I was applying for an outland PR while I was still in Canada
(I didn't know this forum existed and so I had no clue where else to get answers from)
The lawyer keeps warning me that the website said 9 months (when I applied) and so it will take that long... 9 months just doesn't sound right and the thought if it rips my heart! I really miss my hubby.. He had come to visit for 2 weeks this Feb and I was hoping I would be able to go back wiz him... but ofcourse

That ship sailed...
I have actually been wondering if using a lawyer takes longer to process your application.. Because unless I'm wrong a lot of the people who applied at NDVO in April/May/June who have not got their PPs back yet went through lawyers...
or then again its might be a crazy VO who went on holiday or some sh*t like that
