how is your app gonna get processed if there are older ones not done yet?!
The same way MUCH younger ones are getting processed before old ones?

Please look at the overall picture...

He's not crying, he has all the rights to wonder what's happening to his application and vent his frustration, although I would agree that there may be better places to do this.. ;)

I am also a January applicant, and I just patiently wait. We know that the whole process can take up to 12 months, sometimes more. So as some people said, we are in the timelines. There is absolutely nothing we can do. I don't think there is a point asking every other day if someone got their MR. If people want to update their status, that's nice.

Any jan applicants who have not received MR so far have eligibility recommended passed in gcms? So far, I've only seen 3 status for eligibility - not started, recommended passed, passed. So, change from not started to recommended passed happens overnight.

I'm still waiting for a new set of gcms. Old one from sept has criminality in progress. Everything else not started.

I understand that lpc but am not venting my frustration here . I am looking for ideas or avenues to understnad better how to know the status of the application. The timeline 12 months is for all the process to get complete. If we dont hear back anything in November then we wont hear until late jan or feb due to christmas vacation . This will take the timeline to 15 or 16 months to get the process complete. I dont know about you but for me it is crucial to get the answer by atleast early Jan as it might influence the decision on staying in canada or not matters. I also saw some one in november who got rejected and the status changed from application received to Decision made and for some no change in status but got rejected. All I want to know is if my application is in process or rejected. How can i know this?
You can't. Simple as that. The 12 month period is merely a projection. Some people wait a lot longer.

Thanks.

CIC has not confirmed receipt of updated application to include my wife - its been 3 weeks ! They responded to an old status request email that my application is still in queue for review by officer.

Most MRs come mid week, lets hope for some good news tomorrow :)

Updated:

Can we submit Gcms request every week, while previous requests are in progress?

I believe subsequent requests cancel out the previous ones, so no.
Look, it's not like most of January has received MR, a LOT of people are in the same boat - CIC asks you to contact them but not with the same question over and over - maybe call to see if you can check on your wife's status but aside from that, just wait it out like the rest of us. Good luck!

a clarification required...one of my close friends got his Biodata and RPRF request, though medical request was pending.

is this possible? how soon can he expect medical request?

the Email he sent to me stated the following, other than the normal other administrative stuff about Biodata and RPRF:

Dear <Name>:

This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa. Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing; you will be contacted if additional information is required for that purpose.

So does this mean that his eligibility has been done and found positive? only PCC remains? my friend had sent his Canadian PCC as well as Indian PCC along with his application (he had applied while outside Canada, and had done his Canadian PCC just before leaving Canada).

Please advice.

Thanks,
Sid

Some people experienced this and received MR shortly afterwards.
Is your friend a January applicant too? Can you share the date the application was received as well as the noc code?

Rprf mail means eligibility is cleared.

Rprf, bio data and ppr mails come from visa officers. MR comes from an automated id. My guess is that MR is sent in batches. So, he should get MR soon.

Hello everybody,

I'm one of the Jan applicant, haven't heared anything since AOR.

Recently I was looking into Working in Canada website and I found a strange thing. Wages for my NOC code has changed and now they are using Median instead of Average. I wasn't following this website for a long time, since I applied for CEC this January. I wrote them (Working in Canada website) to ask when did it changed and other details. I got a reply back saying NOC wages got changed in Aug 2013 but the wage for NOC was the same prior to that as well. So I again wrote them back saying when was it lower or different that this, to which they replied that it got changed in May 2012. Also, they started to use Median instead of Avg wage from May 2012.

http://www.workingincanada.gc.ca/report_note.do?cid=5483

I'm surprised to know this because I got a positive LMO prior to applying for CEC on my same salary, which is actually short by about 50 cents an hour according the new median rate going on for my NOC at present. I'm wondering if this would affect my CEC application?

But then again if it got changed in May 2012, why didn't it affect my LMO application which I applied on May 25, 2012, which was under review in Sept 2012 when the officer was asking my employer for some additional documents???

I'm kind of worried, any inputs to this matter would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The noc salary guideline is there mainly to stop employers taking advantage of foreign workers and underpaying them. Being 50cents below the average or median isn't a problem. It's when you're below the bottom of the range that questions may be asked- for LMO purposes that is. For CEC it's less of a factor but either way, at 50 cents below average, it's really not going to be an issue

Hello guys,

I had received my GCMS notes today. Nothing has started except criminality is in progress. This is the status on 22nd October 2013 on which day the notes were generated. Hopefully next month they start to do some progress.

Can you confirm the status date? Is it Oct 22? Or Sept 22?

Normally, from what i know, it is generated on the same day your requested or a few days after that. But they release to the person after 30 days from the request date.

Thanks.
