Hello Eds!

Thank you, the waiting was also killing me. Anyway No I don't see any visa officer code on the email. There is just Ottawa address at the bottom.

I just want to add my ecas still shows as "we received your application on January 10" ( I checked this morning). Also i received back in September a set of GCMS and nothing has started at this time.

Don't desperate, it will come soon!!

Hello,

I remember seeing in the CIC website that police certificates are valid for one year from the day it was issued - I cant seem to find it now, but I see posts in the forum telling the same.

I just want to keep one ready if CIC asks again - mine was issued on nov 15th 2012.

Do we need to submit new police certificate if the old one submitted to cic is expiring soon / has already expired?

I'm sure many of us Jan applicants have reached this point.

Thanks.

If it was valid at the time of submission, no.

I can't see that they would as they only have to be valid at time of application - otherwise many people would get requests for updated PCC's -- and they really aren't that straightforward for some countries.

Hello,

I am new on the forum and I am a january applicant. Please see my timeline below:
Application received: January 10
AOR: February 19
RPRF and Biodata received:october 31st
Medical request: November 1st

Noc:1241 applied from Toronto.

I wish you all good luck in the waiting. MR should come soon for everyone!

Congrats. you have received your AOR about 10 days befor me.My wishful thinking is that i will hear from cic in the next couple of weeks. But then, a number of december applicants have not received anything and are still waiting. And a few march and april applicants have received MR already. And a couple of january applicants are already done with the whole process and became. PR. One of them, I believe finished the whole process in about six months. Absolutely no particular pattern i see. Not exactly first come first serve basis either. it sure is a case by case process i realize. I understand that every application is different . Logically in my head i get it. but the truth is that i am getting nervous now.

eds has a point, as its technically correct. however, logistically, if they had to request almost everyone redo theirs, the system would get bogged down. we wouldnt wait 12 months, we'd be waiting for 2 years. like lpc said, not every country is efficient in issuing PCCs. so, unless your PCC was expiring when you were submitting your app or you didnt provide one, I wouldnt worry too much about this.

Hello everyone-
I received advice on RPRF and Biodata form early this week but no medical request and on that email they were asking, if I have changed my address, getting married, plan to adopt, abort or give birth since the last time they communicated. I replied to the email that was sent to me that I am pregnant (married to a Canadian) and will be due on Dec. CIC just asks me to send a doctor's note that Iam pregnant which I complied. I haven't heard anything back yet. So I think they will wait after I give birth to give me an advice for Medical Request and a friend of mine also a January applicant received her Medical Request but no RPRF and Biodata.

Here is my timeline:

application received: January 7
AOR: Feb. 17
RPRF and Biodata: Oct. 18
Medical Request: None
Visa Officer: EM5578

Congrats once again!

As for your MR, it should come eventually. But since you're pregnant, you will not be able to do medical exam while being pregnant. May be officer is assessing your situation for issuing MR.

Can someone add this to tracker, please?

You CAN do medical while pregnant - the part that some women choose to delay is the x-Ray. Since your baby is due next month you may want to wait anyway but I recommend doing research into the x-Ray (it's of your chest/lungs) and make your own choice as to what you want to do. Some Drs don't like to do the x-Ray but you should be able to find plenty that will :)
I am 2 months pregnant and currently waiting on medical request - we haven't decided what we'll do (Canadian husband).

Yes, except x-ray, you can complete rest of the test. Not sure if CIC will accept medical test result without x-ray.

As others have pointed out, the x-ray can be done and is technically safe, depending on how far along you are in the pregnancy. It's a personal decision so it should be researched before proceeding.

CIC will accept meds without x-ray, but the x-ray will need to be done before everything is finalized.
