Nairobi visa office applicant !

Dear Ntaye,

As for me nothing is changed so far. According to your timeline, I should have gone through 'in process' at this time but our visa office looks slowed down the pace. May be visa officers are in vacation or busy with issuing student visa or the quota for skilled immigration visa is over for this year. God knows, i am worrying much now as it is delayed. I am wondering to write asking the status.

By the way, how did you make your payment order for the visa ? is it cash payment order payable to Canadian embassy in addis ababa ? and my other curious question is where medicals is done in addis ababa ? Just wanted to know in advance.

I made payment by Money order made payable to 'Receiver General for Canada' since it was in CAD.If you plan to make it USD it must get prepared to Higher commission of Canada-(your name here).You must send to to NVO not a consular office in Addis Ababa.You will get the details of this all including the amount with MR.
Yes Medical is done in Addis Ababa,IOM only.

Can anyone tell how many points is allocated by Canada Immigration Office to the qualification : ACCA (Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants)? 20 or 25? In the UK ACCA is considered as a Master level qualification. In other countries it is a Degree Honours.

nothing on my side except pray to God hearing at least around @ 1st quarter 2012. i even don't know my status on E case since at the beginning.i don't what to do. interesting if ur in Addis , do U able 2 know UR Ecase status from online?

Dear gashe,

It seems we are in the same boat, our visa office has neglected us. Regarding E-cas, yes i can check my status online but it remains the same since the beginning, it says "CIO Eligibility complete". May be try using UCI number if you are finding problem with Immigration file number. Otherwise E-cas doesn't reflect the true nature of your status. You don't have to worry, we just have to continue to pray ! I am sure you will get some response once the visa officers start to look at our files.

Hello fellows,

I believe Gashe is right and that, for us pre June 26th 2010 applicants anyway, we can forget about Nairobi VO doing anything about our cases this year. I had sent a Case Specific Enquiry in May but I never heard anything from Nairobi VO, it is very frustrating but the best advice is what Gashe gives us and that is to keep praying!

interesting why we can't hear an update information from our friend who lives in Nairobi? At least they have by location i.e they are geographically more closer than us to make a social network and gather information.Please guys help us by providing information.i learn from people others' VO. Really what NVO is doing? don't say they are sleeping!!

E-cas status is in process with RBVO detail since June 2011 after that i haven't seen any progress i fully agree with
gashe's idea for us pre June 26th 2010 applicants may be after 1st quarter 2012, menge8 for u i am sure u will get medical with in the next 3 months any way good luck for all keep praying.

I hope I would get into inprocess and medical request sooner or later, considering post june applicant. But what worries me is NVO is neither looking at post june nor pre june as I understand from you. Don't know what to do but I am planning to send an inquiry on it. Look at other visa offices as they process their application faster than us, we are getting frustrated and wonder this is affecting our establishment here in our country. We don't lose hope and keep our faith to pray though !

Hi Friends,
I get the impression that the 13 months processing time officially published for pre-June 2010 applicants is a misprint. Last time it was 18 or 19 months. I think it has increased to 23 months!! If the processing time published were correct then processing should have completed for many among us who are in this category. Our status should at least have changed to 'In Process'. The next update is expected by end October. Let us wait and see.
