Hi everyone ! i have received email reply from the VO saying '' a review of the file has been done and an interview is required , an interview date has not been set but client will be informed in advance of the scheduled interview '' i was wondering what the interview will be and what kind of questions they ask ? , also they have their own interpreter ? as my wife doesn't speak english please share if u experienced in those kind of things .thank you

Glad you finally got a reply from them. Man, am tired waiting for their reply. Think I'll just send them an email again, hopefully they reply.

About interview,it's very easy and just obvious questions. Either look at previous pages in this forum of wait for someone to get back with the link. As for the interpreter, i have no idea. But I believe they will say it in the letter that they shall send in advance. They will tell you if you need to bring your own interpreter.

I tried openinh the link ( https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/intro-eng.aspx?mission=nairobi ) so that I can send them an email but it is not working. Not sure why.

Is there anyone experiencing them same problems?

I called CIC here in Canada yesterday. Same of them are so rude even when you try to talk nicely to them.

Any other way of communicating with the VO will be appreciated if shared.

When you use the email from the cic website, an automated DO not reply message is sent to everyone. You have to wait at least 5 days for a reply, unless they have asked you to provide something. They will then reply to you with this
email address: nrobi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

You can send an email directly to the email address above if you like. It's the same thing

I've got my notes in which i noted that they stated my relation is genuine but the criminality and security check has not yet started. I have also sent them an email last week which they have not yet responded.


Did they include anything about the eligibility of your relationship in your notes? Do you know how time it's gonna take for PPR?

Yes, my notes stated eligibility passed - meaning the believe the relationship is genuine. I wish I had an answer for you as to how much longer the wait will be. The waiting is ANNOYING me so much!!!!

It maybe another month or so for you, if the criminal and security checks haven't been started. Some things that affect these wait times include whether or not the applicant has been/ lived in Canada. They would need to request for Canadian Police checks internally to verify the criminality portion of your application - this can take months to complete. If that doesn't apply to you, you might get some news next month.

I know my criminality was in process and my security had passed...but still NOTHING! Ugh!

I hope this helps. I am praying for some GOOD news for us this month!

I have never stepped my feet outside of Mauritius and i dont know why they didnt start the checks yet. This should be pretty straightforward. My medicals are still good until 2 August 2015 and i just hope i hear something from them before that.

The wait is frustrating and i hope i don't get that famous sentence when i hear from them. The file is waiting for an officer to be reviewed :-\

according to cases I saw or heard, interview might eb required because of different main reasons, but let me talk about just 2 of them 1. where you come from.(some areas might be known for s reputation of fixed mariage when other places might be known for genuine relationships.
2. Officers not satisfied completely in your relationship to be real.this doesn't mean always that you do not have a genuine mariage for example.however one of the couple might be thinking of real relationship when the other one is just looking the opportunity to arrive in this country. that's where they look supporting factors and the opposite(factors that contribute that the relationship is not real). example: not same age, example no dating ahppened. how you met etc...
to be briedf and clear in your interview first make sure you remember your dossier and what you gave as facts that support your relationships.any question might be asked to confirm if your relationship is real or if you are just fixing.for example the officer might suprise one of the spouse and ask the names of some relatives,or any question related to the sponsor to see if you really know eachother.but do not panic about it. except if your relationship is not real.I will ask my work mate exactly what they did ask his wife.and If I rember well.they had to ask both 2. I hope I gave some of the answers.

lonelyguy . good stuff .thanks as u said maybe thats the reason , in my thought the officers is not satisfied by our evidence we didn't sent our wedding ceremony pictures as i lost my camera at addis ababa Airport we just submitted some pictures from our religious ( Muslim ) ceremony called '' Nikah'' and there was some numbers gap on my wife personal history details part on the form . is there any suggestion on that ? appreciated

Hello,

Notes take 30 days to process. You should receive an email confirmation once you apply for the notes stating that you will get them in 30 days unless otherwise specified. When did you apply? If it has been over 30 days, you should reply to the automated email message.

If u applied on may 28 u will recive ur note on june 28 or 29 ( exclude holidays ) or if u applied on weekends ( minus those ) , simply count 30 days from ur application received by the office
