Thanks for your response. So are you saying I can just email the Nairobi VO and ask the status of my application? And can you please explain the difference between ecas and the notes? For ecas you just check the status using your UCI number right?

GCMS is a detail of your application ( wen they revived app, outline, officers note,etc) ecas is electronic clieant application status ( ecas) and teling u status of Ur Application , if u want detail on Ur Application order the note , for status beter to email, ( as the note will take 28 days )

What is a "stump"?

What if she needs to travel during those 3-4 weeks when her passport is being processed?

Since they requested her passport, does this mean no interview will be necessary?

One more question... once she gets the PR stump in her passport. How long does she have before she must enter/land in Canada?

@SimbaKali I do have a few question for you. would you please share your timeline? what's your online status show now?when did you apply? If you have inprocess how many days after it changed to in process did you get passport request?did you get PPR in mail or by email? what was it saying exactly?

After ecas showed in process, It took 10 days to get request for passport. Same as everyone.

And did you get the request by mail or email? Was it sent to the sponsor or to the one being sponsored. Hope you sent the passport already. If everything goes well you should hear from them in 2 to 3 weeks.

Hi everyone my ecas stil saying permanent resident application received , my wife has interview but no date set I was wondering ecas is not gonna change before interview done ? Thanks

Don't worry about that.it might not change at all.these things have no Formulla. for example some people got PPR, when their Ecas still show applications received.

also my wife was requested to submit additional information regarding an issue in our case, but still the Ecas was application received. it is only last friday it changed to inprocess. morever some people gopt PPR 1 day after Ecas changed to Inprocess, others it took a week or 2.some1 here mentioned it tooks months for his case. it ahs no general rule.maybe depend with both officer and the case.May be you can order new notes and see what's going on.don't be suprised even in case she pass interview when it still application received.
