Falmaata, did you say you received your AOR on February 1st? Am assuming you got a letter via email right? Did they send you a hard copy of the letter to your mail? They haven't sent me mail yet( not a big deal anyway)
If you did get AOR/SA around Feb 1st, is your ecas status showing that your file has been transferred to Nairobi? Is it showing medical received?

Hi Alwy welcome back ! , sorry bro i have received my SA on January 6th and transferred to Nairobi on the 7th , and i received it on email , my ecas was saying '' Application received '' thats all till today , my wife submitted her medical information sheet 20 days ago … thats all for now

Lonely I have received my AOR ( after 2 months of my application ) on Jan 6 and hope u will receive soon may be in a couple of weeks !

Hello Alwy,

Your Ecas doesn't normally state anything about your file being transferred. As for the time medicals show up...it's different for each applicant.
Some can see medicals received on their Ecas right away. I for example saw medicals received the same time I received sponsorship approval.

Just be patient. You should hear something in the next month.

I am also very surprised and anxious to hear some good news from Nairobi VO. I got some information from my MP that they are working on my background checks.
I am thinking I won't get a decision until late May. Just trying to be patient!

How is everyone doing? Sorry i've been so busy with exams at school and work. Just finished my exams!!!hoof.
Hope you guys have been doing well over here.
Awmf, am surprised, they haven't said anything to you yet! that sucks but let's have patience, hope you get sorted soon.
I got my SA late last month, the letter said that they have transferred the file to Nairobi.

However, It's been a month since I got SA but ecas status isn't saying that my file has been transferred to Nairobi yet( though SA letter said that they transferred it already)
Also, when does ecas status update to medical received? my spouse did her medical upfront but it's still not showing up on the ecas status.
Can anyone please share your experience on this?

and also are they checking your back ground ( sponsor ) or your relative's ( person being Sponsored ) back ground ?

Hello,

Processing time had not passed. I just asked my husband to contact MP's office and they were quite helpful. Just call them and they will tell you whether they can help or not. Some are very helpful, and others wait until processing time has passed, and some don't help at all.

I don't know what they are checking at this point, but relatives are also verified or "checked", but theirs is not scrutinized as much as the applicant, unless they also wish to move to Canada.

So the CIC site says it is a 27 month wait. But does anyone know the real wait? Once the application is received in Nairobi, then how long is the wait?

Hello Simbukwa , You are rit it says that But i don't think your process will takes that long , thats Maximum visa office processing time ( Kenya VO ) and no one can predict how long will it take to process if u submitted all needed documents include upfront medical report n stuff ur process will be quick if they have to request some documents it will take some time and keep in ur mind the officer will do detail applicant background check ( Person being sponsored ) that will take some time as well , when did u applied ? and when did you got your first approval as a sponsor by Email / mail letter from cic ? wish u all best

I have seen in some another trend about what is next step and how long after medical received on ecas ? and some saying that means your case is 90% done , approved , back ground check is completed , most was saying that the next step is PPR with in 2- 3 months , or PPR is on way etc…. i was wondering how true is that? please some one share experience ? thanks , wishing good tings to come soon to all of us

For Medicals received upfront, I don't think it works the same way.
Usually people submit the medicals when the VO has requested them, which is usually when the file has been processed, and they just need the medicals to complete the processing of the application.

When medicals are received upfront, you are trying to ensure that you have already submitted everything the VO needs before hand. My Medicals were marked as received in December, when my application was transferred to the VO, and I am still waiting a PPR. I'm being really positive and praying hard that it will be this month!!!

Hello everyone ! hope all u doing well … Just to give u some information about how to check ur spouse ecas just inter your application number / file number and then inter her info ( as sponsor file # is the same as person being sponsored ) then you will see whats going on … the funny thing is i just did that to check if it works , i didn't know be4 , then saying that '' we received ur application for PR on ******* and medical result received '' i hope this will help and it looks like they working on it , how do you guys think? anyone with experience please share . thanks
