Hi all ! I have seen in some another trend about what is next step and how long after medical received on ecas ? and some saying that means your case is 90% done , approved , back ground check is completed , most was saying that the next step is PPR with in 2- 3 months , or PPR is on way etc.... i was wondering how true is that? please some one share experience ? thanks , wishing good tings to come soon to all of us

medical received simply means they have your medicals on file regardless of whether you passed medical or not. I did an upfront medical so so shortly after my wife got approved as sponsor and we got her UCI number we could see Ecas changed to my application received, medical received. It stayed in this status from early august to mid october, then it changed to in process(about 3 months). A day after in process, we received an email asking for Fees if not paid, passport, fedex return slip, and an updated schedule A form. I sent in their requests, and a month later it changed to decision made. They never emailed me to say what the decision was so i had to wait nervously until fedex delivered my passport, and their was my visa and COPR The total time it took to process was 5 months, and 2 weeks.

Thank you for sharing your informations.and my question is Did you get an email when your file got transfered to Nairobi? my Ecas says decision made. on my sponsorship and that they sent me a letter on April 16th, but never received anything. I called them then call center sent an email to Missassauga.I am waiting.the stressing thing is because I live in Qc, I don't think my file can continue without filling Qc sponsorships sheets. because once they approve you you go with Qc and Qc should send their approval to Nairobi.it's confusing me.I wish I would be living in another province maybe.any way let me wait patiently. .no choice.

your application process was so fast! How lovely! I wish I could say the same for the rest of us.

My application went to in process in February, and I have not heard anything from them! Hoping for good news at the end of the month.

LONELY that means they sent u an email ( u got approval as sponsor and ur file is transferred to kenya ) and another copy will not be mailed to u , they only send u if u did not provided your email.

Hey,

you (I assume you are the sponsor) should have received either something in the mail or by email. Please double check your junk mail to make sure. Nairobi doesn't send any acknowledgement of receipt. You only hear from them when they need additional docs or your passport.

Lonelyguy, none of us got an actual mail of SA. The email suffices and you don't get a hard copy mail sent. Since you have gotten the email then you are good. About Quebec, try ask questions in a forum that has applicants from Quebec Province. You will be fine. We are all waiting for our loved ones to join us. I know it's tough but let's all be patient and hopefully we get good news soon.

I have a question guys. I moved to a different city this month. Sponsorship has already been approved in Mississauga and is in Nairobi already. I have changed my address on ecas. My question is, do I need to send n email to Nairobi Visa Office and tell them about my change of address? Anyone knows about this, please share.

Hi Alwy if u are in canada ! no need to email the visa office u just change online and they will update on file with in 5 business days only u let the visa office know if u are outside of canada . all good and wishing us all best !
