It is not that simple as you are thinking. That way many people may even apply by May end to get the thing completed by June 2011 ....... ;D
One may get PER within 60 days (with time line reducing). Then take around 60 days for MR/RPRF/PPR ....... So honestly it should not take more than 6 months for the last quarter batch (Applying in Apr-June) to get the Visa.
The catch is - CIO should not come up with some new policy and the applicants get the same treatment like their predecessors ..... and indefinite waiting.

So dear Sadhika .... be careful of all these permutations and combinations. Don't forget the amount you have already spent + new expenses + IELTS + uncertainty + further tension.

You need not have to withdraw you previous application (NOW) ... but later you have to do it ..... Remember that you are not eligible for any refunds, except RPRF (that you paid in advance)

Hope my views helped ........ Cheers, Anil
Hi all,
I decided to continue with my old application only .i wrote to minister@cic.gc.ca regarding present scenario of newdelhi visa office in giving priority over prejune applicants eventhough we are in newhigh demand joblist, May be we will get our processing in fast track only .just wait and watch with patience,

useful info by pun in international thread
-------------------
VO Delhi uses the same general number given on the website. They have technicallly advace system. Whenever any officer calls you, you only get the number as DelHI CHC number as given on the website i.e. +911141782000. If you try to call back you may just land up on the reception and no one would connect you further. So it is one way for applicants.

It is something like internal call routing to a single outgoing number, sorry I am trying to explain this to a dentist friend

You may like to store this number

Anyone here obtained his/her PCC from the Mumbai RPO???.........Jus wanna know what supporting documents they ask for....My wife can only provide Ration card as a residence proof (we got married only couple of months before applying and haven't changed any other records yet -- including the passports that we used for application)........

Another concern that I have -
Both of our passports does not bear spouse's name (I used my wife's maiden name - as mentioned in her passport - in the application to CIO, and the passport still carries her parents' address) and submitted marriage certificate as a proof of our marriage -- We got the PER and current status is RBVO so no problem there.
My concern -- Whether such a situation will raise eyebrows at ND VO? I was aware of this situation at the time of applying but my argument was (if ever asked for) that she wants to carry her maiden name.

Should I be concerned?

Well we never had problems with pcc too :)...we had to submit fresh ones again along with our MR....just got them from the commissioner's office....in case u apply thru the police commissioner's office, marriage certificate is enough to show that u stay at the same address....u should have no problem....the only disadvantage they'll except a lil pay off at your local police station to forward the completed forms back to the commissioner's office without any delay :P

I am also thinking of goin thru Commissioner's office route to obtain our PCCs......Thanks for ur help.......U mentioned somewer that it took you a week or so to obtain it, right??........A week's time seems fine ........

Hi,

I am collecting my document to file my FSW1.

Could anyone of you please suggest me how to send documents? I mean what kind of file should I use to organize my documents. (ofcourse, I will follow document checklist by CIO,VO and precede it with cover letter.)

your help is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Sunil

Be careful while dealing with courier company while dispatching your passport to ND VO. Today we had a taste of it. Some couriers gives stupid stories or rules, hard to believe them, just to charge you few extra money .

Would suggest you to use the reputed courier like Bluedart etc as they are comparetively reliable, they r bit expensive but OK.
