Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I have applied to MPNP in July 2013 in General Stream Friend nomination. Can any body inform me how much time it will take for Sponsor,s interview now a days.

Sorry for late reply!! please note I submitted the SP2 on the same day in March 28th 2013 together with my application because my Sister in Law submitted our file directly at winnipeg office.

Still we are waiting sponsor Interview and also not received any email for submit the additional documents. OOPs still crossing the Fingers.

Occupation: Administrative staff
Spouse occupation: Administrative staff
Date SP2 was submitted: 28th March 2013
Additional document requested: Nil
Date additional doc was submitted: Nil

I have question that keeps bugging me. I am about to submit our application 2 weeks ago but i am hesitant because our proof of funds. 2 concerns i have are:

1. i have 10,000 cad on time deposit but this is in joint account with my mom. were on "OR" status with the account. I requested for bank cert and the bank provided me but only my name appears on the bank cert because they asked the purpose of bank cert.They gave me bank cert twice only my name appears as account owner. Do you think there wont be any problem with that? But i am scared that they might do background checking on the account.
2. And one more thing then time deposit don't provide bank statements. will that be ok?

they asked me for updated work experience letter .. well the one i sent them was old so they want the fresh one.....

Gurmeet0729 how old is that work experience letter of yours? because i am about to submit our application but the letter was signed last march 2013. It is already Nov 2013. our letter will be considered old also, i guess?

The issue with time depsoit or Fixed deposit is that it usually does not show history of the funds booked, for instance it might show a time deposit of say 10million naira for 60days. what i think the Immigartion officers are interested in is: (1) proof that you sold some thing like an asset with evidence of the sale before the booking of the amount or (2) show history of deposit that have been successfully rolled over from different times when it did matured( the essence is to show that you have kept that funds for that long period)
This is my humble submission, but i stand to be corrected.
And in terms of the name of ur self or ur mom, it think since the mandate is either to sign, it will be good for the purpose intended, another humble submission subject to correction of more knowledgeable people in the forum.

Hello everyone..I am just new on this forum.. I'm from the Philippines. Is it okay if you can add my application to your tracker. Here is my details under MPNP Family Support

June 18, 2012- Submitted application to MPNP
November 22, 2012- Received Letter of Approval from MPNP
January 2013- Submitted Application to CIC
May 28, 2013- Returned Documents(IELTS needed)
July 6, 2013- IELTS Exam
August 21, 2013- Application sent to CIC
August 26, 2013- Received by CIC (based from CIC application status online)
September 20, 2013- Application fee paid
October 7, 2013- Application was forwarded to visa office

*The online inquiry seems to be delayed because I received the email on October 7 and that's the only time I was able to check application status online.

Question:

1. How long will it usually take before the visa office answers?
2. Is it sure already that they will grant visa if CIC considered your application complete and forwarded it to the visa office?

My sponsor was interviewed today - Nov 5. I was surprised with the questions asked to him. And he informed that the interview lasted for less than 5 minutes only.

Below are the questions asked:

1. Relationship with the applicant.

2. His personal information: Years in Canada. His work and his wife's work. Where he works and if he already own a house - how many rooms.

3. If he already sponsored someone in MPNP before.

We did not expect these questions because they are so simple. They called him while he was in work. He requested them to call him back after an hour so that he is already on his home. He called me to inform me that the interview will be today and did some "reviews."

They officer did not advise if they require any additional documents - I hope they will not ask later on ;D
