Question: I tried logging in to ECAS and I couldn't get my information. I tried three times and received this message:
You have exceeded the number of login attempts allowed.

Will this block me out? Or I should just try again? Or should I contact them? If I should contact them, should I respond to the email address of CIC? Or do they have another email address for this issue?

AOR = Acknowledgement of Receipt usually by CIC but MPNP also provides it
LOA = Letter of Approval by MPNP
CIC = Citizenship and Immigration Canada
MR = Medical Request from CIC
PPR = Passport Request from CIC
VO = Visa Officer of CIC
IO = Immigration Officer

The Government of Canada has released some of its plans for immigration levels in 2014. Included in these plans are expected increases in the number of permanent residency visas issued to applicants through the Live-In Caregiver and Parent and Grandparent programs.

The Parent and Grandparent (PGP) sponsorship program, which is currently closed, is set to begin accepting applications again in January. In the meantime, the government has been working to quickly process backlogged applications. Its goal to admit 50,000 parents and grandparents over the past two years is set to be surpassed, and a further 20,000 are expected to be admitted in 2014. This will result in the largest number of new permanent residents through this program in nearly 20 years.

“The modernized PGP program will mean faster processing times and shorter waits,” said Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander. “It will also ensure that families have the financial means to support those they sponsor, while also protecting the interests of taxpayers.”

Meanwhile, the Live-In Caregiver Program will admit 17,500 new permanent residents next year. This represents almost double the number issued visas this year, and will be the highest number in the program’s history. The program helps qualified caregivers enter Canada to work for employers who have not found Canadians to fill their positions. After two years of work, they may apply for Canadian Permanent Residency.

In order to be eligible to apply to the MPNP, you must demonstrate that you have legal status if residing in Canada and that you have a connection to Manitoba, through current/prior employment or studies in the province, or friends/family in Manitoba who are supporting your application. We have pre-screened your application and wish to advise it does not meet the eligibility criteria for the following reason(s):-You did not demonstrate proof of your connection to Manitoba as outlined in the eligibility criteria. Specifically, your Manitoba relative did not provide the Settlement Plan Part 2. You may wish to reapply provided you can demonstrate you meet the MPNP eligibility criteria at that time. Program guidelines and the on-line application are available on our website atwww.immigratemanitoba.com. Please review the eligibility criteria and documents checklist carefully before submitting a new application. My son is the sponsor of my daughter and according to my son he sent the the sp2 and we have a proof or a copy of the email.

Do you think they will still reconsiderif if we send them a letter of appeal and will attaced the copy of sp2 that was sent to them last june 1, 2013.

IS there anybody in the forum who encountered the same communcation error? Pls share your experience.

Patience is a virtue.

You know what, I would say when it comes to waiting, I am already the Hero, meaning I have been tried and tested. I would suppose I have the LONGEST WAITING as compared to everyone in the immigration forum.

I applied in September 2005 under the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) category. I am a Licensed Medical Laboratory Technologist by profession, and during our time (2005), the FSW category is open to all college graduates. Initially, my AOR with CIC indicated only 39 months of processing, then from 39 months, it went up to 40+, then to 50+, then 60+, 70+, 80+ months then finally my application fees will be refunded. All in all there are 280,000 people affected by changes in the Canadian immigration law, people from China, Middle East, Africa, India, Philippines, Pakistan and so on. All of us will be for refund. Reason for refund and the changes in immigration law is because of the huge backlog which they can no longer process, but instead, they will prioritize the in demand NOC profession released every year as determined by the Canadian government and the Human Resources of Canada.

I wasted my youth (38 years old) now I am 46, wasted overseas job opportunities from Macau, Saudi Arabia and New Zealand which I all turned down while waiting. More so, I wasted investement opportunities, meaning I did not buy or invest on anything while waiting.

So, where is justice here?????? May God give me justice this time in my MPNP application.

You applied on June 17 and I applied on June 11, 2013, but up to now, I am also waiting. What is 4 months compared to my 7.5 years of long wait.

I really pray that God will grant me my heart's desire in accordance to His will this time. I am already 46 years of age, and I need to hurry up because I only have more or less 19 years of work before reaching my retirement years.

I believe if there is a person who has the right to complain, then it is me.

Hope this will somehow enlighten and extend the patience of everyone after reading my post.
