Just checked my ECAS account, and it shows my case status changed from Application Received to In Process. And a line was updated as " We started processing your application on Jan. 30, 2018." I don't know how long it will take to reach the finish line, but at least my case is moving forward one more step in the right direction.:)

I was just in contact with my MPs assistant again, who is actually trying to help as much as he can. The only update he could get from IRCC was that they extended the validity of my medical from March 2018 to March 2019. Guess they don't plan to finalize my application anytime soon...

There is a few who have been forwarded to LA who don’t seem to have any red flags

I hope so. As far as I could tell from previous cases it would be because they want an interview, but I'm unsure why they would ask us for one! Guess we'll wait to find out if they request anything.

Thanks!

Wow... that is not fair at all!

Your COPR will be valid for a year from the date of your medical or until passport expiry if that is sooner...it could be better news than you think! They may just be giving you ample time to land.

Is it true that for CPC-Mississauga folks, when the ECAS updated from Application Received to In Process, usually means that it is not far away from DM? At least I had read some posts said it was the case in this thread.

Yes it is. In our case we got In Process and soon after DM. So my guess is that you are close to the finish line :)

That was my experience.

I kind of hoped and expected that I'd be able to land before March, since it will then be 14 months after my application was received by IRCC. Oh, how I love that I was "eligible" for OB570 processing in Mississauga.

Mine changed from “application received” to “in process” as well last Wednesday, and yesterday a new line of “we started processing your application in January 29th 2018” was added in our ECAS. Let me know when yours change to DM. I have a feeling “in process” meaning they are transferring it to a new visa office and might take a while.

It might, but there were several CPC-Missisauga folks posted here not long ago that they got DM within a month after this update. So, keep positive.:)

I have only just found out about ECAS, on the form where it says Decision made, is that just telling us the step? It' not saying that a decision has actually been made?

I am starting to feel like I am going to have one of those apps that takes 2 years to process. Is it too much to ask to see some movement in my app?!
