Makes no sense how may apps are getting dm/ppr when there is people from Jan-mar who are not approved.

Ircc is being completely unfair

My background check in GCKEY was updated to

"We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."

I was under the impression they wouldn't update that until they basically made their decision.

It probably means I still have months of waiting since I'm a July applicant but nice to get some kind of update.

A couple of June folks have gotten DM and PPR already. You may not have much longer to go :)
It's really inconsistent, some people don't get BCG in progress until the same day or just a few days before DM, others have had their BCG in progress for months... it's hard to say, but any update is a good update!

Hello everyone, So I got the response from CIC-OTTAWA about the extension of my passport request, and they denied my extension request, here is what they replied:

"Should there be an extenuating circumstance (such as a death in the family or medical emergency) for which you can provide evidence, we will do our best to expedite the processing in our office based on the claim. Please be advised that we will not consider requests that are not of an extenuating circumstance, such as vacation or pre-arranged flights."

Based on it, I have decided to just mail everything on Monday to Ottawa. The mailing instruction for applicants who live in United States is following:

"If you have a mailing address in the U.S.A.:

- The Self-Addressed pre-paid envelope should be arranged with a courier that delivers between Canada and the U.S.A "

So I wonder which post office is the best choice to use? and should I put my address on the pre-paid envelope, too ? Thank you again for your help!

Dumb question for you... what did your GCkey say about your medical once it expired? Did it stay as “medical passed” or did it flip to “you do not need a medical”? My medical expired so I’m just curious
Congrats!

My wife is a USA applicant. We sent in our PPR by FedEx International Priority. The package arrived in Ottawa 22 hours after it left Olympia, WA
Of note, we signed up for a shipping account with FedEx and with the account we were able to generate shipping labels for both the To Ottawa envelope and the return envelope.
