The difference should only be the shipping time. I was told they're slammed and averaging 3-4 weeks. Whatever, these will be the fastest 3-4 weeks of my life :D
Let’s hope so.
But I wonder if that 3-4 weeks is accurate.

When I sent off the passport scans and pictures, the woman at the counter suggested I take a picture of the Xpresspost envelope so I had the tracking number. When that appears on the Canada Post site, I'll know something is on the way.

Unfortunately, that means another thing to obsessively check, just like I used to do with MyCIC and ECAS!

Wierd. I was given receipts with the tracking numbers on them.

They gave me a receipt for the one to the office, but the easiest way of taking down the tracking number for the return envelope was to just take a quick snap. She'd had a bit of a row with the person before me and had one with the person after, so I didn't really want to cause her any more hassle!

One last site to check every day !

I decided not to record my tracking info for the return envelope because I DON'T want another website to track!

Someone told me that they don't even send CoPR back to you in the return envelope. It's supposed to be for all the documents/passport, but US people generally just get CoPR in a letter? not sure how true that is.

Permanent Residence

1. We started processing your application for permanent residence on August 18, 2017
2. Medical results have been received.

But it is still APPLICATION RECEIVED under Permanent Residence Application Status.

I dont have GC key because i have representative. So I only rely on ECAS for updates.
Was the background check started already?
Should it be IN PROCESS to know if it is in background checks stage already?
What is next stage line number 3 line after that?

I already got AOR 2 email. VO-Missisauga.
Do you think the Visa office has started working on my file now?

Not sure either, as most people that seem to get their CoPR just disappear from the forums after.

Time will tell, though!

Find it hard to believe they're just keeping the envelopes people send them...

It’s their secret and we stumbled upon it.

Most Mississauga applicants are never switching to “in process” on ECAS, it stays “application received” until the very end

June 9th applicant here. We requested notes on October 6th and received them today. My eligibility check, security check, and criminality check has not started. However, our notes were generated the same day we requested them i.e. October 6th. Now that one month has passed since then, I really hope that at least one of the three checks has started.
Just thought I'd let y'all know, in case anybody shares a similar timeline to mine.

Only recently April candidates have gotten DM so until the May people start getting processed I wouldn't create expectations... :)
