I will just explain to you what my husband and I did and hopefully it will help. First we just typed a short letter stating the following:

" your name xxxxxx
Your date of birth xxxxx
Your addressxxxx
File number xxxx
Your email address xxxxx

To CIC

Please find enclosed a prepaid waybill to be used for the purpose of sending the PGR Letter."

Bring this letter to the DHL office and request to send this letter along with a prepaid return waybill to the embassy. You will have to pay double the shipping as you have to pay to ship the item there and pay for another waybill to be included inside the envelope. Make sure you are clear that the first waybill is to send the item to the embassy but the second waybill is to be used to return a shippmet to you. Dhl will input your information into their computer and print the appropriate waybills. Make sure to tell them you want your file number typed beside your name on the waybill being used to send to document to the embassy. DHL provided us with the envelop for shipping the letter and the waybill.

Once the envelope arrives at the embassy they will then ship the PGR letter to you by using the waybill you provided. The embassy will attach the waybill to their own envelop.

You will have to do this process again once you receive your Passport Request.

Also there are some people on this forum who purchased a waybill online from FedEx. They then electronically attached the waybill to a case specific inquiry to the embassy. This is a less expensive option as you only need to pay for the shipping one way. I was my not computer literate enough to do this and I believe you also need a credit card number to do so.

Good luck. I hope this helps.

Hi guys, has been a long time since I posted something, I have been checking the forum regularly and its nice to hear that some of you have been getting good news.

Finally my wife got an email with the AOR. File subject. Then later on she received another requesting one of the forms (IMM 5669) we unfortunatly fill it out but we left out the months of vacations from school .. sounds silly but i guess they need to know what was the status in those 3 months.
She got that email april 5th and we sent the form right away, we also sent an email with the same form.. just to make sure and she got an email back, im guessing an auto response.

Does anyone has have a similar situation? any real time frame that i could be expecting? so far has been 10 months being away from them, its kinda getting unbearbale by now.

Cheers, happy weekend!

Inside the envelop is perfect!

Outside the envelop. Just remember dhl will provide the envelop to you. Dhl will ask you for the necessary information( the address of the embassy) for in the outside of the envelop. tell them you also wAnt your name and file number on the outside. DHL will then print out a waybill that has the information on it and attach it to the envelop for you.

Hey everyone....I haven't been on in quite awhile. For those of you waiting still - good luck! =)

I was wondering if anyone can tell me the cheapest/best/easiest way to call Mexico from Canada?

My husband needs to call his dad. I got a calling card online but that was basically $10 for 60 minutes. Can we get a better deal somewhere? Thanks!

Thanks! Where can I get it? VISA is a weird name for a calling card....since it's the name of a credit card.

Google and skype have good long distance rates, no connection charges, also are you calling a cellphone or a land line, the mexico plan on Skype has unlimited calling to numbers in Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey

I use the calling card Good Call to call my husband in Mexico. $5 gets me over 100 mins! Pretty good deal!

after waiting close to 30 days, my partner has NOT received the PGR, which is somewhat normal from my readings on this thread. I understand he can do a way bill. Im somewhat confused about this. Also, does it need to be signed by the applicant or is it just forwarded to the Embassy once he receives it. We need to get everything in within 60 days. It has been 4 years for us and I dont want to assume anything.

My husband didn't get his PGR within 30 days ( Reg Mail) and that's not surprising but what we did do is go to the Embassy in Mexico and pick up the Instructions. I explained to the front desk that the 30 days was past and they told me and my husband to come back in 2 hrs and they gave it to us.
