Hey guys, I'm a may 2019 applicant and my file was transfered to Mexico from nova Scotia. I'm trying to read some reviews and it's quite mixed. Can I assume that processing time in Mexico takes some time? Anyone willing to share some Information to bring me up to speed, highly appreciate assistance.
Thank you in advance
Hey and welcome!!!! get comfortable because yes Mexico can be a wait . What kind of information are you after? I can tell you that in my case. My husbands app was received on Sept 12,2018, AOR1 was December 17, SA and Medical came January 9th and medical completed Jan 16th 2019, Transfer to mexico March 20,2019, request for another schedule A in April 2,2019.......... Silence until Sept 25th, when we were advised that we are in queue for interview, with no date scheduled yet.
Now keep in mind all applications are different and you need a lot of patience and a great sense of humor.
Hope that helps answer your question a little at least :)

Welcome to Mexico VO, Im Dec 2018 applicant, my application was transferred in August and I received AOR2 from Mexico in September. The best advice I can give you is patience, this office is very slow and each application in a different case, do not compare yours with that of others.

I'm a January applicant, and we still haven't had our files transferred :/
ughhh....

Such a headache!! No consistency at all and frustrating when we see people that sent apps after ours getting transferred and also still seeing people from January and maybe even December waiting.

We are happy for everyone progress don't get us wrong, but just wish there was a more organized way through this process. It really takes a toll on you mentally not knowing or worrying.

We feel like we are in complete limbo at the moment. Sort of like one foot here in Nicaragua and one foot in Canada, can't really make any major decisions about either at the moment.

There are many of us on this thread that have been waiting more than a year. Comparatively speaking, your app is quite new. I know it has been said many times before, but applications can NOT take the same amount of time. It is not all about the IRCC either - it is also about their relationships with other countries and their ability to carry out background checks and receive necessary information. Applications are submitted and are complete. Applications are submitted and are sub-par, or missing information. Every person's situation has to be considered on its own merit. Some applications may be processed faster because people have been married more than two years (that is a green light in most cases).

While it may not look equitable from our view, and likely there are inequalities inherent in the system, there IS a system, and an order of operations for processing an application. Mexico is overloaded, so we all need to be patient. I am speaking as someone who's family won't be here for at least 16 months from start of app. It's really tough. And additionally hard when ecas and GCKey aren't updated.

So - got a response from the webform that I submitted two days ago. It essentially said that our file was on route to Port of Spain, to not make any inquiries to Port of Spain at this time (as they don't have anything yet they can't give updates). They said we would hear from them within 8 weeks regarding the details of our interview. Everything seems to be in order (no outstanding documents etc). They provided the enquiry email for Port of Spain (for after the 8 weeks) and then the gratiuitous message about keeping correpondence to a minimum.

Great insight, however I was referencing the other post of a January applicant still waiting not just ours and how there is no consistency at all.

Of course we all already know two applications are not alike but there are several of us from the same countries in this forum who applied at very similar times and just commenting how irregular this all is. There may be a system as you said but it doesn't make it any easier on any of us the way things are handled. Everyone has there reasons to get frustrated with the process and I think that's ok.

Regardless of the way you put it the process is a pain in the A** and we all have the right to vent a bit I would think. Unfortunately there is nothing to do but sit and wait and we all know that, but some times just putting out there to people in the same situation can help after all that's why we joined this forum to express the ups and downs of this whole experience.

Well you heard something at least, sometimes those few lines can be pretty reassuring and you have an idea that things are on course.

Hope you guys hear more soon!

anymore March applicants waiting for transfer?
I'm a January applicant, and we still haven't had our files transferred :/
Hi, I'm an early Jan/2019 applicant and just got our file transferred to Mexico VO on Oct. 3rd. I don't expect AOR2 for a couple more weeks and then just wait until they get to working on it ... it's a slow process, for sure!! Hopefully my husband will be in Canada by the end of March 2020, basically 14 months in total.
