Got passport back today and booked flight for tomorrow. So we are officially at our last step. My husband is finally going to land in Toronto tomorrow!!! Omg I cannot wait for this process to be over. 20 long months. Good luck everyone. I hope you get your answers soon!!

It’s absolutely absurd , I work in a privacy department for medical records and I swear if I ever missed a deadline without letting the “paying customer” know I would be fired . This is why I laugh because I complain , you complain everyone complains but they are not held accountable. I have never received notes in the 31 days , and never received a reason why . So now I laugh about it because it’s that ridiculous

Well at that point is soo ridiculous that all you feel like before crying is laughing.. is the only remaining unfortunately. As if were none consequence at that place.

Its an old system that is barely working that none wanna cut it and make it better. Asked a lot of ppl in the world , like pals i know and they were shocked to hear it was a YEAR minimum of papers and all to be able to join your family. Should be done in a few months to the max ! We need workers and wife and husband are in major part helps in this case (as they arrive in their prime years of work, usaully in the 30th) and ppl that wanna stay perm and establish, is the best immigration possible. Someone to help you with your integration , a relative that you live with , a real relationship and instead they welcome tons of refugees and other programs and let sponsorship as a lil piece of puzzle, which is the safer one.

so cause the system is crashing , officers have to stop to work ?!? (so what do they do.. play poker while it's repaired?) lol you expect those things to happen in a 3rd world , not in Canada.

Unbelievable yes it is.... i wouldn't say it's better to cross illegally tho , if so that's the anarchy starting. And we always have followed the rules to be clean. Still believing of being rewarded as good citizen and genuine request.

Just i feel we aren't that appreciated and it hurts to know this.

Hey guys, I'm a may 2019 applicant and my file was transfered to Mexico from nova Scotia. I'm trying to read some reviews and it's quite mixed. Can I assume that processing time in Mexico takes some time? Anyone willing to share some Information to bring me up to speed, highly appreciate assistance.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get your passport back after you send it? Just trying to get an idea. Also, what does the VFS actually do? Are they the ones that stamp your passport?

i think it's sent to an embassy , the closest one in a sealed envelop and it's sent back after the Stamp

Weird, I don't understand why they sometimes wait so long to file transfer

Man what a waste of time. There is a Canadian embassy right here in Detroit, I could have gone there myself to ask for that stamp lol

Canada is really in the old age of protocol... never forget this.
