Why don't you try the skilled worker section? Sorry if that comes off as rude.

Thanks - no thats not rude.
But in terms of timeline after FBI I thought it would be the same in all catagories.

If your wife was not in USA at least six months I don't think you will need FBI verification.
I was in Canada but my husband wasn't. I was asked to submit my spouse's certified criminal record check from Canada. I informed (e-mail) the visa office that my husband wasn't in Canada for six months and they told me that I don't have to submit the police clearance.

Send an e-mail/fax to inform your situation and ask them if you need to submit FBI verification for your wife.
Hi. My spouse has been in the US for less than 6 months at the time of the application. After 1 year, they emailed me asking for her FBI police certificate. Can this document be waived?
Thanks,

No, not the same. I applied under Fsw class as well, I didn't heard anything after finger print requirement for one and half year! no MR, no PPR. Sorry to frustrate your happy thinking!

Hello Everyone,
Its been 6 months since i did my medicals now. Address disappeared January 27th and is yet to reappear even as i type this message. I am a July, 2011 Applicant. DO u guys think it's time to email them for the first time? Secondly, I applied through a provincial nominee. While filling the application for PR forms, I filled my current and previous employment then. Now my work is over and i am searching for a new job right now. Is there any point of me advising Buffallo of this job thing? just curious incase they go do checks on me.
Answers appreciated pls.
Tracy. :(

1.does your ecas show medical received? 2. Don't report to federal, don't leave the province nominate u, to be on the safe side. I'm an opnp, I called Ontario ask about the same thing, they say they don't have answer for me because they can't give me instructions on this. They also say after I got my pr, they don't care what I'm doing. But to be safe, serve the province nominate u till u got your citizenship.

Thanks,

Your wife was in USA for less than six months when you filed application right? She was in USA for six or more months ever? If not, you might get waived. Just fax them or do file specific enquiry and explain, mention date from what date to what date she was there.

I had kind if same situation. My wife was never been USA, but they asked for her FBI report. I faxed and did file specific enquiry after couple of weeks they replied this requirement has been waived.

Good luck!!

even if u have worked for ur employer for 2 yrs and paid taxes for 2 yrs ?!!!.....just asking

Well, not really guys. You can either extend your current work permit by asking your employer for an LMO. There have been people who were out of employment for a few months and they still received PPR. If you do end up being unemployed then you would also have to write an explanation to the immigration office about it.
Hopefully this does not happen to any of you. Please stop scaring yourselves.
