Good day,

Just wanted to share with you my recent updates on my case, on my signature, you'll find my timeline, warsaw VO has requested re-medicals recently for my kids only and not for us (reason is that they have lost my kids medical results when it was dispatched by DMP last year) now the thing is technically speaking my medicals are expired!! Unless VO have granted me 3months grace period. What are my chance that my application will be finalised within those 3 months?? Any previous cases or knowledge are welcome to be shared. Thanks and have a good day.r

I just want to clarify here that the grace period of 3 months that you mentioned is not for you, it is for the visa officer. Within 15 months (12 months + 3 months grace) of the date you did your medicals, your visa officer has the option of requesting a reassessment of your medical file from Regional Medical Office (RMO) responsible for your file. The visa officer can only do this if he/she feels that everything else in your case is finalized and the only hindrance is the expiry of your medicals.

If the RMO approves the VO's request (yes, they do reject these requests), they will issue a new medical certificate which will be valid for 1 year (not 3 months). This is what most of us in this forum refer to as the extension of medicals

Unfortunately, there is no way to predict if RMO will (or already has) approved your new medical certificate. You could try ordering your GCMS notes to see if your approval for medical extension is mentioned.

The process for your reference: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/medic/assess/cert.asp

hi Rizmayo,

Thanks for the clarification, what if the the VO determines that my application is still pending (security or background checks) and thus the 3 months grace period given to him is not be enough to finalize the case, will he still require extension of medicals (1 year certificate) or he still has an option of sending me again re-medical forms to undergo medical tests again??

second, if the RMO approves his request, what is the average processing period to get PPR?? any idea??

If the background checks are still pending, he does not have the authority to apply for extension of medicals and will send you medicals forms again in due time.

If RMO approves the request (i.e. your background checks are complete) you will be getting PPR in a few weeks after your children's medical is done.

Dear Seniors,
It has been more than 6 months since I received my PPR1. Yet waiting for PPR2. I wrote LVO on Monday but so far received no reply. Please share your experience – in how much time you received your PPR2 after PPR1?
Best of luck, Hina

Hey, my sister applied for family class sponsorship, and we had our medical exams on 22nd June 2013, and after 3 months of medical we were asked to send the Supplementary Information form, which was sent by us.
Currently the online application status shows Application Received (Medical results have been received), and still we are waiting for PPR. Can anybody please tell me how much time we need to wait.

Hello Everyone,

After few months of silence following medical submission,
I received an e-mail from CPP-O on 02/18/14 (this past Tuesday) requesting payment of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee.
I paid the fee online the next day and sent PDF copy of receipt to CPP Cost Recovery as suggested in the original e-mail request for faster processing.

Any idea when my status will be updated to "In Process" on E-case? Status still shows application received as of today.

Does that mean I am close to PPR?

Timeline
App received 06/2013
Medical Request 08/2013
Medical Received 09/2013
RPRF Paid 02/19/14
Passport Request?

Thanks and Good Luck to All!

If you have already raised a CSE and replied back to VO's email, I would suggest waiting for their reply before taking any action.

However most likely you will have to send back the passport and COPR for correction. It won't take long to correct this mistake once the COPR reaches them.
