I just want to clarify here that the grace period of 3 months that you mentioned is not for you, it is for the visa officer. Within 15 months (12 months + 3 months grace) of the date you did your medicals, your visa officer has the option of requesting a reassessment of your medical file from Regional Medical Office (RMO) responsible for your file. The visa officer can only do this if he/she feels that everything else in your case is finalized and the only hindrance is the expiry of your medicals.hassan09 said:Good day,
Just wanted to share with you my recent updates on my case, on my signature, you'll find my timeline, warsaw VO has requested re-medicals recently for my kids only and not for us (reason is that they have lost my kids medical results when it was dispatched by DMP last year) now the thing is technically speaking my medicals are expired!! Unless VO have granted me 3months grace period. What are my chance that my application will be finalised within those 3 months?? Any previous cases or knowledge are welcome to be shared. Thanks and have a good day.r
If the RMO approves the VO's request (yes, they do reject these requests), they will issue a new medical certificate which will be valid for 1 year (not 3 months). This is what most of us in this forum refer to as the extension of medicals
Unfortunately, there is no way to predict if RMO will (or already has) approved your new medical certificate. You could try ordering your GCMS notes to see if your approval for medical extension is mentioned.
