Does anyone know if it is at all possible to get medical extension done due to the current turmoil in the middle east. My wife is in Iraq and her original was done in Syria before the turmoil (before a medical office existed in Iraq). She went with her older brother(he is now in Canada) and they had no problem getting it done. Now her medicals are expired(done in October-2011) and my status has changed to In Process. She has no-one to take her to other medical offices around Iraq (Baghdad is off the list because of the situation there and the hostility between Kurds and Arabs) and I can't fly out to help her go to Turkey or Iran because I'm still in school and working full time. Would they consider extending her medicals even though they have passed the expired and extension date? Can I apply for this somewhere? Has Anyone ran into something similar? I am very angry because they should not have told me to do medicals if their process takes longer than 1 year....
