Statistically speaking, by 4 months you've almost ruled out the common rejection reasons.

Anything beyond that is due to something out of the ordinary such as security clearance or something ordinary that could not be resolved such as Work experience verification.

This is my observation. Those who have got a review required will take longer, but if you've been honest and straightforward, you will get it.

Maybe it’s just because your spouse is not accompanying you could be the reason of the Review Required... I don’t think you should be worried about it as long you have provided a reason for her not accompanying..

Before our marriage on March 3rd, 2018. My wife had applied for US and Canadian visitor visa in the month of September 2017 and she received both the visas in November.

Now, since she has a visitor visa already she will be coming to Toronto on 9th November.

Question:
Would there be a problem for her while entering Canada as the pr application is in process? In case if the boarder security officer questions her what should she be ideally answering?

IRCC already knew about PR application and if they still issued visitor visa I think there should not be any issues.

thanks. I never had any visa rejected, but had extensive travel and have lived in five countries in last 10 years. May be that has triggered the review. It has been sitting idle for quite some time. I hope to get to some updates in near future.
