Ok. I applied for gcms notes and it showed that nothing had started. AVO is just not attending to files for now. I'll just have to be patient and hope they start in the new year.

It's usually between 24 - 48hrs. However, it might depend on the enquiry you are making.

Actually, AVO tends to answer mails on time. That's the only thing they seem to be fast about.

AVO created a change.org petition which was signed by 200 people more than three months back but nothing came out of it. It's business as usual. I don't think anything moves CIC.

I believe your VO matters a great deal. My VO is currently not attending to files for reasons best known to them. So many people under AVO have passed the 6 months timeline and their files haven't been touched. So yes, VO matters!

Since your file has been approved, there is no need to write to Mr. Ralph. What additional info could you want from him?

In my opinion, if the office of Ralph is unwilling to help when applicants mail his office, then he wouldn't help. He is not been cajoled but I think he shows a genuine need to help. The day the get tired of receiving mails m, all they need to do is ignore mails and people will stop mailing...
