Hello Everyone. I am about to file my spousal sponsorship application.

I want to know on FORM 1344 - Part 1 - Question 1 Which option to choose? What are the pros and cons of picking either option?

If you are found ineligible to sponsor Indicate whether you want to : Option 1: Withdraw application OR Option 2: Proceed with Application.

Thanks, would appreciate any help.

I'm not an immigration specialist, nor do I play one on TV , but I read somewhere that if you choose Option 1 you lose your chance to appeal a negative decision. I would double check me on that though.

I finally got my application linked. I had to put 5 as number of members even tho CIC agent told me to put 3 since there the PA, SA and 1 accompanying dependent .

I tried 5 after and it work since there's actually PA, SA and he has 3 dependent children that were listed but only 1 will be accompanying.

Guys after waiting since 27 april today i received a email that they need original marriage certificate ..i already send everything original but only the marriage certificate i send it photocopy bcz its with my husband in pakistan now i have to tell
Him to send it to me ..is it a good new that they have my app and opened or is it a delay in my process for them asking a original document..so are they gonna send me aor after they get it ?

Need one clarification about PCC.

I am staying in one state (Maharashtra, India) since last 5 years which is other than my hometown (Gujarat, India).

Have taken PCC from PSK Maharashtra, so now do I need to take PCC from my native place also??

That is a good new that you finally heard back from them.

What do you mean by original? Which original docs you put? Please give me example of few original documents attached with your application package.

i uploaded the one that says no to validation and it was uploaded successfully, simultaneously raised technical error query stating the issue

I dont think you are supposed to give original marriage certificate. It says in the checklist "Please provide photocopies (unless originals are required by the country specific requirements)"
May be your country specific requirements are different. Most of the people I know just provided a photocopy of the marriage certificate.

I'm sponsoring my wife and our 4-month-old kid.
On, Form IMM5532, question # 3 Other financial dependent people, it says " details of any person who is financially dependent on you and who is already not listed on tables above".
Do I need to add our kid's name?

I have a question regarding Schedule A form:
My given name is XXX YYY and familly name is Blank. So according to the guide if Family name is blank then write Given Name in family name field. But when I enter Given name in Family name, after clicking on "Validate Button" I am getting an error that Given name is missing.

Someone please help? what should i write in a given name field?


this is what cic wrote in the guide for schedule A form:
Question 1

Write your full family name (surname or last name) and all your given names (first, second or more) as they appear on your passport, travel or identity document.

Don’t use initials.



that's what they mention for Sponsor's guide
Question 1

If you don’t have a family name on your passport or travel document, enter all your given names in the “Family Names” field and leave the given name field blank.

If you don’t have a given name on your passport or travel document, leave the “Given Name” field blank.

I just received my AOR this morning and just like others linking application is not going well Im now locked out for 24hr and I only tried 3 times.

Application sent April 11
Return May 12
Re-sent May 18
Received May 19
AOR June 15

dont worry about linking application if can not its okay

Yes thats what i was worried about i send my nikah nama also original just marriage certificate was photocopy i think its gonna delay my case idk why they asked for original :/

I gave original nikah nama english n urdu i only gave marriage certificate photocopy but now after waiting so long they asked for marriage certificate original instead of aor still
No aor yet
