oh weird! we sent out police clearance with the application. needed to send ours from india, UAE and qatar. while we were in india we got the indian pcc from there, which was a task! had to go to the police station every day for 2 weeks because they kept telling us to come tomorrow. Then we made a trip/honeymoon to UAE to get his PCC which was easy. took 2 days. For qatar we actually had my uncle apply for one while we were in dubai. we sent him all the information and he applied for my husband. Got that also in around a weeks time.
where is your husband mostly? what are the embassies saying?
My husband hasn't worked in a year and a half (he's in the oil industry so work has been quite scarce) :O And of course on Oct 3rd he got called to start work in India on October 5th, thankfully we told them he needs more time before he leaves, as I will be going back to Canada on the 17th, so he doesn't have to leave until the 9th now!! BUT the new company is not impressed with him.
Then later on October 3rd at 4pm he got the request for the 3 PCC's from the Cairo embassy. So he went on the 4th and NO ONE was able to help him.
India said they only do it for Indian citizens
Iraq said if he sends it no one will open the request, he needs to have someone in Iraq to do it for him to make sure it got done
Qatar said he needed a POA in Qatar to do it.
When he worked there he worked one month on, one month off, so he was never there for more than 2 consecutive months at a time. And he only had work/business visa's. He was always working in remote areas, on oil rigs, in the middle of nowhere, lol. So even if he was able to get PCC's at the time he was working he had no way of going into a town to request the information at an embassy. He definitely would NOT be able to leave the oil rig in Iraq (for obvious reasons).
We all live in Cairo, and there is no way he will be able to go to Qatar or Iraq to get the PCC's, yes he is going to India but for work and he will be on an oil rig in the middle of the ocean!!! He doesn't know anyone in any of the countries he's worked at. I have no idea what we are going to do. He will be gone for roughly 2 months this hitch (because he needs some training for being offshore).
So that is my story, sorry if it was too much information but I feel lost and when I saw your comment, I was like OMG someone might actually understand me, lol.
What does your husband do? Where is he located?? You are in the home stretch now!!! Congrats!!
