So the new line means AOR 2? Is that what the general consensus is? lol

We received H's application for permanent residence on May 15, 2015.
We started processing H's application on August 18, 2015.
Medical results have been received.

No, because my wife got her AOR2 email dated 8 days after this new processing start date. So after doing some processing for 8 days they sent the official acknowledgement email.

On the other hand, if time has passed and it looks like CIC neglected to send your AOR2, as it seems with Gemmie, then this in processing date effectively acts as an AOR2 but without having the details contained in the AOR2 email or letter.

My application status says the same first 2 thing, ie the 2 lines.. But there is a third line that says we sent you correspondence to acknowledge receipt of your application..

However ,it does not say medical received. Is this a problem? Should I call them to verify if they did receive the medicals? Medical was done in April!

Just as an update, I'm still sitting at "application received," with my application in Ottawa, just the two lines confirming receipt and medicals.

113 days and counting. The wait continues. ::)

I got the new line too!!
I was one of the many people whose PR app status changed to IP on Aug 6.

We received xxxx's application for permanent residence on May 29, 2015.
We started processing xxxx's application on August 4, 2015.
Medical results have been received.

I hope this means something good!

The processing times for visa offices were updated again with today's date August 27, 2015! So check your city again.

Most didn't change or changed very little. But Hong Kong, Beijing and Cairo had major corrections from what had seemed crazy increases. For the interest of the May 2015 group since the last quarterly processing times Hong Kong went from 10 to 20 and now back down to 11, and Cairo went from 20 to 28 and now back down to 17!

I am relieved about Hong Kong. :)

We have the exact same time line. My hubby's app was received May 29 and they started processing Aug 4. Only they haven't yet stated his medical results have been received. I'm feeling more hopeful. :)

Mine also does not say medical received. What is your VO?

The sponsor can call to verify. Say sponsorship has been approved but you want to find out if medical has been received as it is not mentioned in ECAS. The "correspondence to acknowledge receipt of your application" might tell you.

Did you notice the processing time for Pretoria changed from 17 to 14 months? Good news. As the validity for a medical is only 12 months if they don't give you an extension they will ask you to do another medical again. That might also be mentioned in the "correspondence to acknowledge receipt of your application".

Hello smoothsailing,

the sponsor should call the CIC or the VO? We have been waiting for the correspondence but its almost 10 day and did not get any email or mail. Also, the medical was done in april 2015 so its still valid till 2016.

Yeah, noted that the processing time for pretoria went down to 14, but i think before that it was 15.. Thats really good news even if its only 1 month difference :)

Sponsor call CIC. Correspondence should be soon ... Your May spreadsheet says 17 is current processing time for VO so I thought that was most recent. Good you can change it to 14. I don't think most people are updating this number on the spreadsheet if it changes but it is supposed to be current processing time not original processing time at start of application. :)

Got my case notes today. Nothing important on them since my application is not yet in progress. It's still interesting to see the information being input over the course of the last few months and seeing the time stamps.

I suppose I'll wait a few weeks and file for them again in hopes they'll have added something more/be In Progress.

It seems some of you are actually getting In Progress as May applicants. What VOs are you with? Congrats!

When did you order your notes?

My visa office is also in Ottawa and we filed all application on May 19. Still haven't received any AoR2 and eCAS shows still "Application Received" with two lines, one with May 19 and another one regarding to the recipient of medical results.

Sounds like Ottawa office processes applications very slowly. According to your time, hopefully I can see "In Process" in 2 weeks.
