Got my case notes today. Nothing important on them since my application is not yet in progress. It's still interesting to see the information being input over the course of the last few months and seeing the time stamps.

I suppose I'll wait a few weeks and file for them again in hopes they'll have added something more/be In Progress.

It seems some of you are actually getting In Progress as May applicants. What VOs are you with? Congrats!

When did you order your notes?

I ordered them on July 15th.

I had to sign a document, scan a few things, and then send back the information requested by the CIC on the 6th of August, and FINALLY got them this morning.

I at least can see that my application arrived in Ottawa 4 days after I received SA approval. I know that the Ottawa office doesn't do AOR2, but this is just as good a peace of mind for me.

I also can see that my medical has already been passed and documented, that they have record of my fees being paid, that my paper application is in their possession.

Right now it's open but not in progress.

Case notes are essentially a digital copy of the status a notes for your application. It shows time stamps on when things are opened, approved, transferred, etc., and it eventually will show the thoughts of the person who will evaluate the application for legitimacy.

They usually take a month to be sent to you after requesting them, and usually don't contain much information if you're not yet In Progress.

I'll be ordering mine again in a few weeks in hope that I can see some movement.

For me who made a request for an address and mailing address change a few weeks ago, it was helpful for me to see for myself that they went ahead and input those changes.

My visa office is also in Ottawa and we filed all application on May 19. Still haven't received any AoR2 and eCAS shows still "Application Received" with two lines, one with May 19 and another one regarding to the recipient of medical results.

Sounds like Ottawa office processes applications very slowly. According to your time, hopefully I can see "In Process" in 2 weeks.

Ottawa actually doesn't do AOR2. So, unfortunately you won't get any more emails or letters until a decision has been made on your application.

Like I mentioned above, I saw on my Case Notes that my application had arrived in Ottawa on July 7th, 4 days after my SA was approved, so I consider that my personal interpretation of AOR2.

Nope, and I don't expect to see it for another few months. I think a few Ottawa VO people from March are JUST seeing some movement to In Progress, and that's just a few.

Agreed. We're still in for a long wait. I was thinking about ordering my notes in November if I don't see "In Progress" by then.

That's a good plan.

I think once I see late April applicants from Ottawa VO getting IP, I'll consider ordering them a week or two later.

I also plan on ordering them once I have DM just to see what all they said regarding my application. I figure it can't hurt to see what they saw and maybe help others with their applications.

Did you see any March / April applicants from Ottawa VO getting "In Process" yet? Where can I find this information? Most spreadsheets mix cases from different VOs together...

I read over/frequent the <a href="http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/march-2015-outland-applications-t273028.2010.html">March threads</a> and <a href="http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/2015-apriloutland-spousal-application-t277810.1020.html">April threads</a>, and then I comb over the spreadsheets.

Keep in mind some people don't update the spreadsheets.

My best advice is to read over the April and March threads every few days to see how everyone is coming along; not everyone is using the Ottawa VO, but you can easily discern who is and isn't.

We applied for another FBI fingerprint last week just in case. The one we sent along with package was almost 5 months old, so just being proactive.
Both of my spouse's address is US and apparently we can't use online address change form unless we're changing it to Canadian address. Anybody had successfully changed address to Canadian address?

I don't have experience with that, but congratulations on IP! Both of our received and IP dates are three days apart. May 12th and July 14th for me.

Jealousy! That's hella fast if your application is already being looked at.

It's so odd that there are those in March, April, and early May who are still at "Application Received." I wonder if they just frolic around the stacks and randomly select them? What I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall . . .

I've got an email with AOR2 on the 6th of August (so it took them 9 days to send the email).
