I mailed my application 26 of September 2014 and I got via mail they said to my sponsor you have met the requirement eligibility as sponsor but I'm not sure if I payed the right fees , I payed online 550 CAD , I did chose spouse in Canada class but I left the principal applicant (475 $) and per sponsorship application (75$) I didn't pay these ones please I need help is it right fees or what should I do , I think they will refuse the application

We received AOR1 on Saturday. We sent in May 8th.

Ours was received by CIC May 8th but haven't heard a peep from them yet =/

Hi all,

We mailed our application on May 19th, and it was received on the 21st.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the next step? Should I be checking my status online at this point or wait for an email from CIC first?

You will wait for an email (assuming you provided one) indicating they 'received' it. This is usually ~1 month after it arrives at the office. [I have yet to receive this, it's called AOR].

Then you wait another month for SA (Sponsorship approval), then you wait 8+ more months for a Decision made on the application.
