you should inform CIC once you're a citizen and send the proof of it, also because it means that you can be outside of Canada if you wish... as a PR, you're required to be in Canada the whole time while sponsoring your spouse, but as a Canadian citizen, you can be outside of Canada as well - so you can stay with your wife for longer periods of time if you wish, and it won't impact your application, as long as CIC is aware that you are a citizen. If you do decide to go and spend some time with your wife, make sure you inform CIC as well - it will count as additional proof of genuine relationship.chantilocal said:I am expecting my canadian citizenship Oath ceremony in early June, if my legal status changes from PR to citizen do i have to inform CIC about the change(as i have applied for my wife under spousal class).
