Hi Guys. My application was received today.
However, I did not include any PCC.
When do you think the best time to start applying for PCC? After AOR?
I am asking this because CIC should receive the PCC within 3 months after its issuance.
So im thinking I wait for the AOR then start procesing the PCC.

Depending on the country you're required to get a PCC from, it might take you more than the average AOR processing time to get one. Currently the AOR processing time is under 30 days. To be on the conservative side, assuming it is around 50 days, it's still less than 90 days that a PCC's "age" is supposed to be when CIC receives it.
Long story short: go ahead and apply for your PCC now because you never know how long it's going to take for you to receive one, and it will be valid by the time you're ready to submit it :)

Hey guys !

My CEC application was received today ! Fingers crossed ! ;D
I submited my PCC from Backhome but it's over 3 months old.. Should I get a new one? And do I need to provide PCC from Canada?

Good look to everyone ! :)

Good luck, Katie! :)

If I were You I should wait for the request from cic for a new PCC.. Mine is from march too, and I'll just sit and wait for them to ask if they need new one or the one from Canada too :D

I would make it up to how long it would take to get a new one. If CIC asks you for an updated PCC and
you can obtain in withing a week or two, then I would wait. If it, however, takes a long time for you
to obtain the new PCC, I would apply for one now and submit it when you get the AOR.
Reason for this is, that waiting for the PCC after a request would only delay your application and the small
application fee involved in the process of obtaining a PCC shouldn't matter, even if you do not need a new
PCC in the end.
Long story short, if you don't mind spending a couple $$ to prevent a delay in your application, get one now
and submit it after receiving the AOR.

I have a question too.. My spouse spent 2 years in country other then his home or residence country (because he's here with me in Canada), working. Do You think that we should apply and submit that PCC too, after I receive AOR? In document checklist I found info just about me as a primary applicant about PCC, but nothing for the spouse..

Correct. PCC from Canada is not required unless CIC asks you to get fingerprint based checks done.

If Your status is worker then put the date when you receive your first work permit

When they say two self addressed labels...are we just sending the plain labels with printed address..not the envelope...right?

it is probably a very basic/simple question....but at this point everything seems like a dilemma.

PS: planning on sending the application on May 15 (5 days after official completion of 1 year); is there a source where i can get my application reviewed before i send it out.
ur frns
ur spouse
