Hello,

My online status updated today to appear for Test on May 1. The issue right now is I don't have Indian passport, I applied for renewal on Saturday(12-Apr-2014). I don't think I will get my passport before Test. I am confused now whether to postpone the test or go to test without passport

Congrats on the update. Could you email your consulate or embassy to have them speed up the process? Regardless, just go with the old passport and explain the situation.

Could you share your timeline and your local office?

Local Office: Vancouver( Moved from ON to BC in November and changed address).

Congrats on your test date. I don't recommend postponing the test as this will cause excessive delay. Try to get back the passport from the Indian Consulate by communicating with them personally or over phone, otherwise bring the documents related to your passport renewal, such as receipt, mailing receipt etc. with you when going for the test. Good luck and update us.

I recommend you communicate with the Indian consulate asking to quit renewing your passport and send you the old on immaculately. I would even fly to where the consulate is if this would speed up the process.

Anyone knows, how long the status information stays visible on e-cas for a previous case processing? for example, PR card renewal or PR card replacement?

Same here Farrous...wish I was in Mississuaga now ! Even Oct/Nov applicants from Mississuaga have got their citizenships and we are still waiting ! Not fair !

I am in Vancouver and I did my citizenship exam on Wednesday. They said if there are no issues, citizenship should be on its way in 2-3 months.

Yes, they did interview me. It was very laid-back. Said there was no issue with the file. The citizenship judge will make a final review and if everything else is OK should get an invitation in two months or so. Good luck to everyone. Hope everyone gets their test invites soon.

Hey andriy155. Test went well. My e-CAS was just updated with the oath invitation for May 22. Hope you also get yours soon and I wish everyone else the best of luck with the citizenship process.

Brilliant! So they updated ecas but you have not yet received a letter yet? Will keep an eye.
