Not yet. All I have remaining is a T4 form which was missing. CRA has sent that to me and as soon as I get it, I will submit.

I managed to find all my flight tickets which I am sending, in addition to Cable/Internet bills which haven't been requested but sending nonetheless.

Come to think about it, I would rather have an RQ now instead of having it before or after the test.
If I get an RQ now, I will have my citizenship delayed but NOT as much as if I get my RQ during or after the test. That's because the elapsed time in between the processing date and the test date will be considered waste.
I noticed that Ontario is faster than QC in terms of issuing an early RQ. QC waits more than 8 months to make a decision on an RQ. My friend and sister, with a processing time of 13 & 10 months respectively, don't have a clue about their application. They both have a risk of getting an RQ in the next couple of months or an RQ just before or after the exam. So this time is used for what? assess an applicant? takes more than 13 months? Seriously?

If each agent assesses 5 applicants per day (as a min.), with a total of 10 agents in one office (Sydney). Then in reality the number of applicants assessed:

- per day: 50 appl. min.
- per week: 250 appl. min
- per month: ~1000 appl.
- per 13 months" ~13000 appl.

Also assuming that the agents in Sydney enter all the information in the system (should be common between all CIC offices) and are the ones issuing the RQs, then the CIC local offices have not a lot to do but review and schedule.

How hard could that be? Puzzled!

I plan to send it next week. I am also including the copies of e-ticket and boarding passes. I don't know how effective the utility bills will be, but CRA tax assessment is a good one.

How are you presenting your info? Thinking of cerlox binding my stuff with tabs. I.e. cover letter then one tab for q2(bank statements), q7(passport copy) etc etc. let me know what you think.

I was thinking to put all documents inside the envelope with the cover letter, but binding everything will be a great idea.

farrous, I have a friend in MONTREAL who got the RQ after six months, and it was issued by Sydney, even the form available online it is not issued by a local office.

But for sure I am with you that filling it sooner is better than later.

That's something new, because previously RQ's had been issued at time of transfer to local office, i.e. more than a year after application date in case of Montreal. I wonder what had happened.

EasyRider, so the RQ before was issued just before the file was transferred to the local office? Two applicants on this forum who applied in Feb 2013 got the RQ after 8 months. Do you think their file will remain in Sydney for the time being? Or you think the file was already transferred concurrently as the RQ letter was mailed?

This is quoted from the cic website, operational bulletin 476-B:

Furthermore, since May 7, 2012, the CPC-S has been issuing the RQ directly to some applicants (local offices continue to issue RQs as well). Applicants are required to return their completed RQ with supporting documents to the local office responsible for processing their application.

farrous, yes my friend got the RQ 6 months after sending to Sydney. And as the link you sent indicates, apparently there is a change in how they process applications.

my gut feelings is that they shifted some responsibilities from local offices to the central office in Sydney. Nonetheless as the link indicates the local office can as for an RQ, most possibly after the test and the interview (which is really the worst case).

There is a large variance in terms of processing time in the spreadsheet 16-30 months. But it seems to me that recent cases are getting faster, so lets hope for the best

Here is my timeline:

- Application received on April 03, 2013
- Study book was send on April 03, 2013 (Consider Delay) which I received on Mid of August I don't exactly remember the date.
- Start processing on June 18, 2013
- Citizenship Test letter was sent on October 2, 2013 and Citizenship test on October 21, 2013
- Letter received on November 4, 2013 saying that Oath Ceremony on November 25, 2013


I would to share my feeling. People have wrong concept that who have travel outside the country before applying to citizenship will get Residency Questionnaires. I totally disagree as I have traveled twice before applying my citizenship. I get married before citizenship.

Secondly some people have perception that CIC is targeting Asian community or Middle East which is totally wrong. CIC is doing their job and all the cases depend on the Office who is looking at your file.

My brother got Residency Questionnaires but I didn't.
