I don't why most of the RQ's are being issued to Montrealers. Maybe it's just a theory. Maybe the ones that are not getting RQs are the ones that are not coming forward with their stories, or not complaining as much.

I believe the local office might issue an RQ if they are suspicious of any applicant. I also believe that they have a certain RQ quota that they have to fulfill...all theories though.

Let's hope for the best 8)

I know two people who got it and one who did not (He applied in dec 2011 and took the test last sept).
But one of the two persons who got it applied in March 2013 and got the RQ in October (boom).

But given your experience it should be the local office who sends RQ. Otherwise why would Montreal applicants get more RQs than others?

farrous13 in the case of your sister, did CIC confirm that the file is transferred? Or is that information indicated somewhere online?

A long waiting period with complete silence is very annoying ???

I stopped calling for the last three weeks however three weeks ago I sent Sydney a letter explaining my situation and whether I need to reapply, I had in the back of my head that I will give them one month and if nothing happens I would reapply, I was planing to prepare a new application this weekend.

I tried calling twice today and I was on hold for 15 mins each time then got disconnected, feeling frustrated I came home and checked online and there you go, I finally have an ecase,

I'm not self employed and I only left Canada once in 2012 for three weeks in the last 12 years!!!!

My sister didn't call. So she doesn't know if the file is transferred. She is not like me (i.e. eager to hear something). She just checks online (after I pushed her to do so) every now and then to make sure she is up to date. To answer you questions: no indication online besides: we started processing your application...etc.

But I do understand that it is so frustrating not to hear back. They received her application in Dec 2012 and not even a single word about a test. But it's not in our hands, unfortunately.

kalbad20: seems your application structure is similar to mine. my application is also single one and i never unemployed even a single day since graduation. Seems it's bad luck our packages were received by the same person and got delayed.

farrous13: how about application? single or family? self-employed? since we three are the last one in May list whose files were put in process late.

It's a single application and I am not self employed. When I graduated I was unemployed for around 3 months. I should have noted down homemaker though instead of unemployed.

considering a very fair percentage of applicants are getting RQ, i should be got ready for that. I dont wanna be proactive for RQ (mentally not prepared) though documents required for filing RQ may take longer time to gather.
