My passport return envelope was activated today at 17 03 pm

All gratitude to Allah first and to everyone in this forum who guided me through this long trip and gave me guidance and patience.. i will Land at Peace Bridge peacefulyl on Monday 3-3-2014 at 5 pm. ;D ;D

Ikhalid.. i wish u all luck.. u will get ur passport request ur eligibility is already passed..

and too many other brothers..

Last advise.. even if u have worries and not sure about eligibilty .. give a try and apply.. when u apply .. do ur homework and know all details.. do not depend on a lawyer or a consultant... depend on urself.. for them.. u r just a client.. for you.. this application is a life change and a better future for u and ur kids..

I will try to stay around.. but if i could not.. i just want to say good bye for now and Goodluck my friends in your lives and future here in Canada..

i am in the same situation as you guys are in. requested GCMS Notes yesterday and last week asked for confirmation whether CIC received my medicals /RPRF/Biodata.
Stony silence from these guys gets on your nerves. trying to be as cool as i can, under this situation.

lets hope we all get this PPR email sooner.

iKhalid, msaeti and algonquin, Can you guys please share the date "we started processing your application on" from ECAS. Mine shows as 24th Feb (RPRF requested date). But I got Medicals on Feb 01 and ECAS shows Med's received on 16th Feb.

It's not making sense to me. Seniors, can someone clarify this?

I got "We started your application on" Jan 31st. I did my Medicals on Feb 5th and the status changed to Medical received on Feb 16th.
Hope this helps. I really hope we get something soon cause the wait is too hard!

Looks like we cannot understand the real meaning of "We started processing your application".

Totally agree with you, wait it making me crazy.

they will look at your duration of stay in Canada.
IF it is since 17 or 10 years ( they will check it via rcmp themselves i think)
Other than that, you would be required to send them PPC from prob your country of origin

I think "we started processing your application" means that you passed admissibility.

Got the PPR yesterday Feb. 28. Soooooo happy. Can't explain the joy i felt upon seeing the email from CPC-Ottawa for passport request. Yahoooooo.

Good luck for those who are still waiting for PPR. You guys will get it soon.

Helo Guys, I submitted my application in May 2013, CIC received it on May 13 2013 and I got my AOR in July 2013. I received my medical Request on January 24th. I did my Medical on Feb 15 and labs+xray on Feb 17 in Calgary (couldnt get time off work). Medicals was with Dr. Abolarin. When I check my application on ECAS it says app received. It doesnt say med received or in progress etc like some of the other members
ALso, I did not get my RPRF or Bio data request yet (just med request) - Im wondering whats going on. All docs sent to CIC with application - PCC's were sent December.
Any ideas? I did send CIC an inquiry email to get more information on the status of my app and I mentioned I have not received biodata and RPRF request yesterday (Feb 28th).....
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys - I'm just nervous that something is going on that they might reject my application.

Exactly after 9 months, submitting my application I am glad to say that I am officially Canada PR holder.

As per the initial plan I was planning to land on Sunday 2nd March as I wanted to do some shopping in USA on 1st March. At the last moment I changed my plan and instead of using Rainbow bridge I decided to try for landing at Lewiston-Queenston Bridge at Niagara today on 1st March and then visit to USA.

At Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, there is a U-turn for Canada. Instead of crossing the border I took the U-turn and informed the officer that I was there for landing. He checked our passports, gave us a yellow slip and routed to the immigration.

We entered at 12.15 pm at the immigration office. It was very quiet over there. Around six officers were in the office and only 3 other guys in the room. I am not sure if they were also there for their landing.

An Officer called us and took the passports and COPR and asked if we have any plan to bring any of our stuff later on. My answer was no. He asked why? I answered that for last 3 years I am staying in Canada and if I need anything else, I can buy in Canada itself. He gave a smile and asked us to wait. He did something on his system and called us at 12.35 pm. He asked me and my wife to sign the COPR and at 12.54 pm he congratulates us and said that we are officially Canada PR holder.

He asked us to apply for new SIN and health card ASAP. He also told that using this COPR we can cross the border and come back but cannot travel by Air. He also suggested if I want to go to my native country then I should go to the Buffalo by road and from there by Air I can go to my country.

The entire landing process took 39 minutes.

After that we crossed the border and now are in USA enjoying our PR status.

After such a long time, now I have peace of mind. No more tension to get Work Permit or VISA.

Thanks to all of you who helped in this forum to complete my journey towards the PR.

Great Anni... Congrats... I will be a PR on Monday... I might use this same bridge then instead of crossing over to USA... Do not stay in USA for too long!!! do not forget the day counter... haha .. Just Kidding... ;D ;D ;D ;D
