Hello AnaMaria just wondering if you got PPR already, yesterday zenykim from batch April got her PPR through snail mail, her sponsor was approved on July 25 .. let me if you got it already so i can update our spreadsheet Manila.

OMG, that makes me so anxious! No, I haven't received anything and my eCAS still says application received. I live in BC, so if it is snail mail, it would take some time to cross the ocean. I don't read Tagalog so I don't read thread for Manila VO. Is there a SS for April for Manila VO? The one you have only shows from May and onward. I am very curious about how they are progressing.

There is one, and I just came from another thread on that topic. Apparently it's not updated very well since (admittedly by a Tagalog forumer) they don't post on the thread where that SS's owner is found. (Something to that effect.)

I think Besykobuset is worried about sponsor approval. Yes, it is way too long. But they should contact CIC and mp. I hope it is just a mistake or lost in mail/email and the file is already waiting to be processed in Manila.

my wife asked her MP last monday with regards to our papers. The constituent called this morning and said that we have to wait untill end of november for just the eligibility of the sponsor. its really upsetting. its been a long time of processing just for the sponsor approval and its so frustrating that we cannot do something. The off of the MP advise my wife to make a call if we do not receive news from cic by the End of November.

Hello to everyone one in May, and good luck.

I have also filed to sponser my my wife here in Canada in May. I was just wondering how long does it take to transfer a file to the Visa office, in my case Mexico? I was approved as a sponser in August and it still says application received.

Thanks for any insight that anyone can pass on.

I could not believe my eyes this morning! We received our PPR!!!!! An email was sent to my wife (she's American) and it said that Ottawa had completed the initial assessment of her application and expects to finalize without a personal interview. The application will be finalized by Ottawa. To proceed they've requested a copy/scanned image of her passport.

I really can't believe this is happening and am so happy. At first when I received my sponsorship approval I was in the middle of the other Buffalo/Ottawa approvals and thought I would have to wait much longer for any other approvals/updates. That sponsorship approval said we were sent to the LA Visa Office. Our ECAS was only updated for sponsorship approval and nothing else. I paid my ROPR fee and asked for confirmation, and heard nothing. I asked for confirmation that her medicals were received since she did them before we applied. Nothing. I even sent the ROPR receipt to LA and asked for confirmation, nothing.

I am overjoyed right now. This is a great feeling and I hope it comes for so many of you soon.

My time frame:
Sent Application: May 1st.
ECAS said received: May 8th.
Visa Office: Buffalo then LA but it was actually Ottawa the whole time
Sponsorship Approval: August 9
Medicals Done: April 15
ROPR fee paid: August 5
PPR:Today! Oct 18th!

FYI: ECAS still says our application is received and never gave "in process" updates or anything like that.

Yes, they already have a copy of the passport. It was included to prove she was a US citizen and is actually a requirement for filing. Oh well, I it takes two seconds to send via email.

And yes, my wife is already in Canada. But she's not working and she has no medical so getting this far in a process is great.
