Yes, they already have a copy of the passport. It was included to prove she was a US citizen and is actually a requirement for filing. Oh well, I it takes two seconds to send via email.

And yes, my wife is already in Canada. But she's not working and she has no medical so getting this far in a process is great.

I'm in the same situation as your wife. I've had many sleepless nights waiting for our PPR.

I don't know what is going on at the London Office. Little movement lately. I am REALLy fed up with waiting since my supposed 2 month wait has now been almost 3!

I really hope so . But I am not from the Philippines, from a visa exempt country. If I don't receive PPR this week, you should not be discouraged .

I just got an email from London saying:

Hello,

Your file has not yet been received in London.

It may be that it is too early for information to be available through ECAS but the London office does not administer ECAS, this is done within Canada.

On the phone to CIC. So happy I got a really nice agent. He's put me on hold to find out what is going on. If they've lost my application, I am going to die.

My file is still in Mississauga. It was never sent to London. The agent is sending a message to enquire why it has not been sent to London. I should call back in a few weeks and this could delay my application by a few months.

I'm going to crawl into a hole now.

I cant believe this........ This is disgusting, the level of service from CIC is totally abysmal. For all we know lots of our applications could still be in Mississauga. This is why CIC should have AOR at each stage of the application. London and CIC CA are pathetic. This makes me so mad.

Best Wishes Dkera! Enjoy the new life in Canada. We are here in the Philippines at the moment. Everything else seems so far away. No news yet about the 2nd stage of the application.. he's asking me about it every day but I'm sure it will be awhile. Take care and good luck! Where is your destination in Canada?

WTF! How did you eventually find out.. because you couldn't log into ecas with the file #? If you can log into ecas with the file # does it mean the application was received at the VO?

I don't know. I can log into ecas using my sponsor's UCI. I cannot log in with the file number or my uci. So, I emailed London about 2 months ago. They never replied. I emailed again yesterday and they replied this morning saying they don't have my file. So, I called CIC and he basically said:
- the file is still in Mississauga
- he doesn't know why
- he sent an enquiry to ask
- if I call back in a few weeks, I should get an answer as to why it was not sent
- if it was just that they forgot, it will be sent to london and I will be at the back of the queue
