my ppr is taking forever to get here... manila canadian embassy said it is on its way... was sent on aug. 1

If they told U its been sent for sure, is there a reason why U cant just send them the passport? Or are you required to do or send something else that might be detailed in that PPR? (Im assuming this PPR thing comes in the form of a letter)
Just wondering?
Clueless me.

I cant believe I completed my CAIP notes application in such hurry over the weekend cos I heard it takes forever to get back to U and I wanted to mail it out first thing Monday morning. But I forgot it in my car till late evening ystdy!! I must be getting reallyyy old! 3 whole days wasted.
I was so mad at myself; the girl at the Post Office where I dropped it off probably thought I was one grouchy customer.

Sorry if it seems I am hi-jacking the thread.
Its sooo slow at work. (What is the sense in getting paid to do nothing, cos thats what it has seemed like for the past 48 hrs at my place of employment. Boringgg. ::)

there is appendix a too that has to be included and the copy of the ppr letter has to be mailed altogether with the passport. also, there might be some other documents that they might need. i think sometimes they lose a document and would request a new copy. so i have to wait for it to know what other documents they might require of me. but i hope that it is only gonna be passport and appendix a (which is by the way being requested with passport all the the time)

Ooh, sorry to hear that. I know I feel pissed when that happens too....it's like "great, all that planning but no execution!!" Anyway, I think they'll see that letter for the interview and give you the notes pretty quickly.

***Random Comment***

I just finished "speaking" with a lady who was totally bawling about not being able to reset her account password. Its like the simplest automated telephone-banking process you ever came across and she was so upset I almost joined her in tears!!
Talk about the simple things in life, eh? Makes U forget Ur own problems. :-[

Like I said, I am just bored so I do apologize for the "non-CICness" of this post. ;)

LOL >>>> it makes a good change from the more serious cic matters.... it seems once I am logged on to the website even when I am using it during company time at work :-[ i tend to be lost in cyber space...

Thanks ddobro2! :D

I found this poem the other day that I was feeling SO low and sort of depressed about pretty much everything, and theachrissy had posted an encouraging reply to me.
I found this poem quite uplifting for my spirits at the time. However, if U r are at a pretty high "place" and dont really need encouragement then I think it might find it to be a bit depressing piece. lol
Does that make sense? :-\

Off to find that Dair's thread now. ;D

thanks spicymum, were do I also view this poem ?? Dair's thread you say ?? By the way , which city are you heading I would love to meet you in the other side of the continent . My husband lives in Toronto, so that were I will be headed...not sure when though ....

They have cut-offs now?! :o
Oh! Thats just terrible! Like the process was not stressful enough, they had to add on the pressure of such deadlines! Goodness me!! The joys of migration! ???

Oh, we are not affected by this, we are under spousal category. But for skilled immigrants (well, I may be only referring to Manila Visa office), for every field of skills, they only accept like 1000 applicants, so let us say there are 20 fields of occupations, so 20 000 a year ... and Month of July is their cut off date or something.......

So in my own theory, maybe they were so busy approving or working on their papers for BEFORE JULY applicants .. that kept them busy ..... lols ..... Like I have said, just maybe ......

This immigration thing, makes me analyze every small details hahahahahah .. I am going crazy soon .....

Happy Waiting everyone !!! Remember, Another new day brings us one day closer to our visas ;)

She has to send a copy of the ppr letter too together with her additional documents. SO she has to wait for it to arrive ....

*waves* at fellow maybies

well we're finally here in sunny canada
arrived last week but not had time to update till now
flight/journey was a nightmare
delays/missed connections/customs confusion re. picking up pets
ending up having to stay at toronto for the night and flying on the following morning
quite enjoyed staying at the sheraton with a cranky cat and a petrified dog lol

anyways, immigration was by far the easiest part...la la la
so we're settling in nicely here
e-cas has updated that our medicals have been received
so our application seems to be progressing nicely

keep the chins up, we're all a day closer!! :)

It's been a month now and no news!
