***Random Comment***

I just finished "speaking" with a lady who was totally bawling about not being able to reset her account password. Its like the simplest automated telephone-banking process you ever came across and she was so upset I almost joined her in tears!!
Talk about the simple things in life, eh? Makes U forget Ur own problems. :-[

Like I said, I am just bored so I do apologize for the "non-CICness" of this post. ;)

A "liveware" problem :)

This should be a warning to all bureaucracies. Let your (already not exactly most efficient) employees start leaving for vacations, and watch the mountain of work grow exponentially. Hehe.

That makes total sense! Someone remind me to stay away from any CIC or government-related applications during or around the Summer.
lol.
Now I am just bored. :P

Maybies, I think we dodged a bullet by filing when we did. The June batch is consistently reporting waits of up to two months and no sponsorship approval yet (only a few people have just started getting them now!).

Yeap, I was reading the June thread, that sucks. I feel sorry for them ...... Like what do you think happened?

I have heard that the month of JULY is like the cut off whatever for immigrants (skilled workers category), maybe they were fast working before the cut-off? And then set aside the spousal category????? And then now since its August, they started working on the June batch again?

Hmmmmm ....... I feel so blessed that I passed it last May :)

I have a question .. please answer
Does Singapore visa office send AOR letter or CIC-M will send?
I did not receive any kind of this letter, i am bit confuse about AOR.
Normaly who does send and who will get this AOR letter.
My wife did not receive anything.

I am not sure about SG.

Manila Visa sends AOR and the applicant will receive it. It is usually sent a month after Sponsorship's approval.

You may want to post your question in the Singapore thread. You will get the right answer there.

Cheers!

Ok I don't know about you guys but I need to keep myself busy while I am waiting.... so while this is completely NON CIC related in topic I am wondering if you will join me in a little fun?? ::)

I am challenging us to post a "favorite". Must be NON immingration related, so for example: favorite recipe, summer memory or place to visit, drink (alcoholic or none ;) ), song etc...

If you hate the idea I will delete but I think it would be nice to just have a little bit of fun inbetween all our waiting times and stresses.

Me first!!! ... My favorite snack - cheese and granny smith apples ;D

It might be better in its own thread.

Hmn, never heard about that with the cut-off for skilled workers category. Interesting theory.

Oh! Thats just terrible! Like the process was not stressful enough, they had to add on the pressure of such deadlines! Goodness me!! The joys of migration! ???

I have a poem! ;D
Where do I post it, please?

Someone from the Buffalo thread posted "I called the call center and they said that there may have been budget cuts." Not sure if that refers to hours worked/new hires/keeping old hires on. But yeah, that would explain it.

In Dair's "favorites" thread ;D Ooh, I wonder what your poem will be about.... ;)

Thanks ddobro2! :D

I found this poem the other day that I was feeling SO low and sort of depressed about pretty much everything, and theachrissy had posted an encouraging reply to me.
I found this poem quite uplifting for my spirits at the time. However, if U r are at a pretty high "place" and dont really need encouragement then I think it might find it to be a bit depressing piece. lol
Does that make sense? :-\

Off to find that Dair's thread now. ;D
