Unless I'm looking at the wrong form, 7a is the phone number and 7b is the email address (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM1344EA.PDF). I had no idea that was ever changed. But if you completed it before a part b was added and part b is the email address, I guess it's possible they could return it but I kind of doubt it. I think in that case, unless there is an email address on some other form they find, they'll just elect to send to the letter via snail mail (I mean, if someone used the updated form but didn't enter an email address because they didn't have one .....yes, it's too rare nowadays but still....they'd do that too). And with the strike and all, that would explain it being late. Have you tried calling the call centre to say you need to add your email address to the application? Anything heard from e-cas tracker yet?

Woo Hoo - got our sponsor approval email today!! Very relieved and very happy. Best of luck to everybody else on Malirca's spreadsheet.

:D :D :D

Actually I should correct that.... I am not worried. I am exhausted. I will just expect that I am going to get these forms returned and have to fix this because if they changed that then who knows what else was changed.

I have just come to the point where I have excepted that my marriage will just be an online pixelated relationship for a very long time to come and there is no point in getting excited about actually being able to hug or kiss him or fight or do anything in reality. Also no point in worrying because it just makes me tired. It is what it is.

Yes I was looking at the form last night and comparing with mine and it is different. They added that part at some point.

Other than calling and requesting them to add my email to the form I cannot call yet because I am not over 42 days.
'
I am not even sure I can do that much if they have not looked at it yet....and if they have that likely means a letter has been issued and all I can do is wait. It will come either way.

I check ecas this morning and there is nothing there yet for me.

But you are right if someone just elected to NOT put their email they would have to mail a letter as well....so that is a positive thing. I just hope that was all they changed and nothing else.

CONGRATULATIONS Chris!!!

Great news, I am happpy for you!!

Best wishes for the next step!!!

Awww, don't say that! Ok, I think you need to boycott all immigration-related activities for some time to get some balance back :) Like you said, you are exhausted with this whole process. Yes, it's exhausting when the ball is in your court but why should you let yourself be drained by worry and wait when there's nothing you can do about it? I really think that there will turn out to not be that many forms that need to be changed. They might not send back anything (they have to make their jobs somewhat easier too...). Well, I hope so....

GOT MY SPONSOR'S APPROVAL TODAY!

I was sleeping when I heard my Iphone's email notification. With my one eye open and the other closed, I checked and to my surprise I saw CIC-Email_Communication on my husband's inbox. I opened it and all I said was OMG OMG OMG.

It is such a relief that know we know that we did not miss any signature and that they actually received our papers.

Now... on to the next stage!

Yippee!

Yes, I hear you well and I agree. Really the only glimmer of hope I have right now is the fact that the dates are slowly creeping towards mine. Because even if the result is negative at least I know someone had their eyes on it.

Tomorrow I will be all sunshine and lollipops (maybe...lol)

I can imagine the relief.

thanks dair!

and dont worry about your papers. worrying will not help at all and it will just take all your hopes and excitement. Just wait. the email is just optional. if they sent in through snail mail then check your ecas and you will know, right?

Yes, I am learning quickly about this worry stuff.... hahaha I am usually not like this at all. Even my husband is concerned about me because I am normally all smiles and laughs and high spirits. Amazing what affect worry can have on your life and your health!!

I refuse to check ecas more than once a day.. ::) I checked it this morning and there was nothing as of yet. :(

But realistically the CIC website says 42 days...so waiting on and on and on....hahaha

I am so excited for everyone!!!

It's like all the pent up energy, excitement and happiness just permiates through the internet.

Just got off the phone with CIC-M. They told me to fax them with my info and request to add email. ;D Thats good news...I am going to do that now!!

She also told me that once it shows online that they are processing May 19 I can actually call them and get my decision info.

Over all a good experience... I feel better now ;D

Time for a walk to burn off some energy and hope when I return I hear of more approvals...LOL
